I think you should 4-bet pre-flop and be fine with getting it in. Along those lines, I also think you should be 4-bet bluffing a significant amount here.

I agree with spoon. It appears that villain is protecting his blind, and you should have 4 bet. You never tried to regain the initiative.
know the enemy and know yourself, and in 100 battles you will never be in peril.

know yourself but ignorant of the enemy, your chances of winning are half.

if ignorant of yourself and of your enemy and you will always be in danger.

worrying flop playing against big blind, could be made or drawing straight.
turn and river then also turn ugly considering the BB raised pre.
Ends up with a tough decision.

I like to see spoonitnow commenting about 4 betting.

    My thinking is: With that hand though surely 4 betting is a must, it is only behind to AA;
the only reason not too would be slow play, if a fold to 4 bet is expected,
but then raises on flop and turn are required.
So it shouldn't ever get to the point of facing a river over shove,
the pot should have been swelled or won before the river.

Of course 4 betting is an option here but having position, Hero makes a viable call ip. As played, 77-QQ is getting it in on the flop. Considering the wetness of the flop, I would pop the flop to $8 and GII on flop.

This. My current thinking is that it's more profitable to flat AA in this spot though against most players bb vs btn (or at least the first time and adjust thereafter - villain's don't forget it when you flat AA pre and assume you are always doing it and only 4bet bluffing thereafter).

As played, I think your line is fine on flop and turn. He likely has a ton of bluffs on the flop when you are broadway heavy that follow through on the turn when you're capped at middle pps. River is fugly: how many bluff combos do you need or weaker value combos to make this a call? Have you seen villain take this line before and how does he play post-flop generally, including in 3bet pots?

Given stacks I'm presumably going to be flatting a fair bit IP here, so I don't mind flatting this for balance. That being said, like others have said, given stacks I'm also going to be 4b bluffing here so I should 4b this as well.

    As played, not folding.

    call, and 4bet pre.
Nine to five is how to survive - I ain't trying to survive / I'm trying to live it to the limit and love it a lot //

Can offer RB deals on most sites, PM me.

I think 4betting and calling pre are both fine and I'd want to be doing both a non zero % of the time. What I do here probably depends how often I've got rude against his bb in previous hands during this session. If there's any reason for him to think we're taking the piss out of his 20% bb 3bs stat, well it's an easy 4b. I'd be more inclined to call this if my 4b stat is low form his pov.

4b pre/ flat both ok vs his BB 3b range. I am raising flop/ turn and i am sure in profitable situation
All posts are just my own opinion about a hand or a general situation... not advices on how you should play...

    fold

4bet pre, and about the decision on the river in situations like this I always call, but on zoom poker, everything happens so maybe and I will go fold.
On your place I would at first 4bet pre like I said, and then raised on the flop so I can see what would be his next move, if he made me re-raise, then I would be more than sure that he has AA, and I would go fold, because this is zoom poker and on zoom poker that things always happen.

He's holding JJ+ here. No threat of a straight as it's zoom and this guy is VPIP'n very low. He'd have been long gone. I'm going with AA or AJh or he's a maniac and holding air. Possible set on the flop as well but seeing that his vpip is so extremely low, he appears to only play premiums. Either way, you're committed. Outcome?
