Red face December 2014 SSNL General Chat Thread

    Ho ho ho.

One of my favorite live hands happened today:

Villain has ~$800 and I have him covered. I open for $11 with a couple of red 4s, one caller, villain makes it $45 from LP. I 4b to $110 total. Villain calls.

Flop comes 994 rainbow. I same bet, villain makes it $275, and all I can think is "Lollllllllll, villain is going to call me so many bad names while I stack his chips." I flat.

Turn ($776) comes 9, and all I can think is, "Lolllllll, you can't say I didn't deserve that." We both check.

River comes J. I check, villain snap checks and I think, "Lolllllll, villain might actually have AK, and I might scoop this stupid pot."

Villain flips QQ. I say, "I'm guessing you wouldn't believe me if I told you I had you 'til the turn." Villain reads the board confused, and shakes his head slowly.

sigh really loudly when the 9 comes, check

then sigh again, go all in on the river, watch him fold face up

Maybe I'm really bad, but I didn't expect him to have QQ. I really thought I had some SDV, so I just shut down.

I'm also not sure about the sigh shove because we can't have a 9. I mean, obviously AA is the effective nuts here, but I don't really know if people do the sigh shove thing with AA on a 9 turn. If anything, I'd probably prefer to shove and give a speech about how there's no way I have a 9.

Again, though, I just didn't put him on the right range when he raises the flop.

Same kind of situation happened to me one of the last few times i played live. This asian lady, looks 40s prolly in her 60s, her and her husband play but neverat the same table. She crazy aggro, and lovesss to call with draws. So she open limps in MP , 2 callers i pick up 66 and make it $16 to go. Stacks are about 150 BBs, ($1/$2 NL 9handed) she calls and another limper calls. Flop is 993 with flush draw. I bet like $30 i believe she gives me the "ok one tinne" (you know how they dont enounciate their "m"s) i say nah you gotta call 2 times. She say ok. Turn is 6h making the flush. She say" you hit blush? Nooo i ahhh in..i" lol yesss i call...to my surprise she turns over QQ. Lol im like wtf..9 on the river..F..M..L..
