[5NL] AQo in SB facing turn raise
BTN: $15.96 (319.2 bb) {45/20, 15.9% 3b, 0 fold to 3b, 33% fold to CB, 100 hands}
Hero (SB): $15.03 (300.6 bb)
BB: $5 (100 bb) {24/21, 16.1% 3b, 18.9% squeeze, 400 hands}
UTG: $15.95 (319 bb)
MP: $12.41 (248.2 bb) {20/13, 50% fold to 3b, 2/16 4b, 62% fold to CB, aggression freq 33%, 450 hands}
CO: $10 (200 bb)
Preflop: Hero is SB with Q A
UTG calls $0.05, MP raises to $0.20, CO folds, BTN calls $0.20, Hero raises to $0.80, 2 folds, MP calls $0.60, BTN calls $0.60
Flop: ($2.56) 8 7 A (3 players)
Hero bets $1.80, MP calls $1.80, BTN folds
Turn: ($6.16) 4 (2 players)
Hero bets $3, MP raises to $9.80 and is all-in
Turn has to be a fold as the worst he can raise here is AK.
But my problems are earlier in the hand... Do we prefer calling pre here to ensure we play a pot with the fish? Or is squeezing better due to BB's propensity to squeeze when we call?
When we do squeeze, how do we play post flop? B/F flop can't really be for value against MP because he's got something like
Board: Ah8s7c
Equity Win Tie
Hero 35.71% 26.18% 9.53% { AdQc }
MP 64.29% 54.76% 9.53% { AA, 88-77, A7s+, T9s, AQo+ }
as a calling range there... even if we add AJo and ATo to his calling range we only jump up to 48.5% equity in the hand. B/F way smaller to induce calls from like 99-JJ, some QQ?
Once he calls flop in hindsight turn must be a c/c...
