    Default [5NL] AQo in SB facing turn raise

    BTN: $15.96 (319.2 bb) {45/20, 15.9% 3b, 0 fold to 3b, 33% fold to CB, 100 hands}
    Hero (SB): $15.03 (300.6 bb)
    BB: $5 (100 bb) {24/21, 16.1% 3b, 18.9% squeeze, 400 hands}
    UTG: $15.95 (319 bb)
    MP: $12.41 (248.2 bb) {20/13, 50% fold to 3b, 2/16 4b, 62% fold to CB, aggression freq 33%, 450 hands}
    CO: $10 (200 bb)

    Preflop: Hero is SB with Q A
    UTG calls $0.05, MP raises to $0.20, CO folds, BTN calls $0.20, Hero raises to $0.80, 2 folds, MP calls $0.60, BTN calls $0.60

    Flop: ($2.56) 8 7 A (3 players)
    Hero bets $1.80, MP calls $1.80, BTN folds

    Turn: ($6.16) 4 (2 players)
    Hero bets $3, MP raises to $9.80 and is all-in

    Turn has to be a fold as the worst he can raise here is AK.

    But my problems are earlier in the hand... Do we prefer calling pre here to ensure we play a pot with the fish? Or is squeezing better due to BB's propensity to squeeze when we call?

    When we do squeeze, how do we play post flop? B/F flop can't really be for value against MP because he's got something like

    Board: Ah8s7c
    Equity Win Tie
    Hero 35.71% 26.18% 9.53% { AdQc }
    MP 64.29% 54.76% 9.53% { AA, 88-77, A7s+, T9s, AQo+ }

    as a calling range there... even if we add AJo and ATo to his calling range we only jump up to 48.5% equity in the hand. B/F way smaller to induce calls from like 99-JJ, some QQ?

    Once he calls flop in hindsight turn must be a c/c...

    Thoughts?

    Also yeah I probably shouldn't be in that seat due to BB's aggro

    I like how you played it, as long as you folded turn.

    I expect villain to call 2 streets w/ most Ax, and you probably get two streets out of most medium/strong pairs as well.

    Nice hand.

    Not to mention the board isn't anywhere near draw heavy enough for him to be possibly be raising enough draws or weaker hands thinking we will call with a draw in the first place to make up for all the strong hands he can have.

    I'd call pre because AQo oop in 3bet pot is not great with stacks this deep.

    As played I'm c/c flop and reassess turn based on his sizing. I don't feel like anything worse calls flop bet, while a c/c reps strength and he's gonna be thinking AQ at worst, meaning anything he continues to bet with beats us. He can bet the flop with lots of missed pairs thinking we fold TT-KK, so I'm not hating a flop bet, but if he carries on firing I'd say we're pretty much always beat.

    As played yeah it's an easy fold.

    This deep I'm probably flatting pre or trying to control the pot somewhat post-flop.

    As played, no FD's out, I'm b/f this turn.

    About your move that you played and information that you had about the villain, the best decision is to be fold on the turn.
    I think that it would be better if you only call pre flop, and then go check on the flop to let MP to lead the hand. Maybe like you said he has AK or maybe set of something.

    Why do we want to bet the turn? Shouldn't he never fold anything that's ahead and we have a hard time getting the equity for it to be a value bet?

    I meant if we're betting, we should be folding now -ie: b/f.

    I don't hate checking the turn though, to c/c.
