I played 4 $5=$1 SitnGo's for the first time tonight. I used a very aggressive approach based on RippyTide's guidelines. I bluffed so many pots just by playing off of weakness. Then everyone thought I was a maniac and bet into my real hands. Thanks to everyone on here for advice. I think I found my new calling. I'll post some hand histories later to show how I applied RippyTide's and theDoc's principals.
So, I paid $24 total to play and won $65 for a profit of $41. The first game I was clueless but still came out on top because the other player's weakness. The last game, I really made some sly moves. Two people went allin vs. my 3k allin and lost to my flopped straight because I had bullied the last 2 hands.

That´s great, r8ed. But, and I don´t want to spoil your happiness, however you will experience losing streaks in SnG's too. I took a shot at SnG's a while ago and my first ten games were going great. I was in the money 50 % of the time and my ROI was about the same figures. Then I suddenly went on a cold run. I think I may have overestimated my ability, but generally I think it just came down to variance. After a while I went back to ring games.
Just take it easy and don´t go up in stakes until you have played a nice bunch of games so you know you´re beating it.

I'm staying at this level for the reason you stated. I don't want to go on a cold streak at higher stakes. But I earned almost 6 free entries with my winnings and learned more along the way. Thanks for the advice.

sounds like squishiness to me, but yes you'll have to do a few hundred more to know if you're genuine profitable.
Be sure to keep track of 'em, too. Your recollections about how many you've won/placed in can get jacked up.

I would definately keep a spreadsheet of your winnings. It's a great way to monitor your progress. I would also post this in tournament tactics since this forum is more aimed towards ring NL.

Isildur1 is back and making his presence felt rather quickly on the high stakes tables. This last week was no exception. Playing the action-packed game of pot-limit Omaha with nosebleed players such as durrrr and Urindanger was the perfect recipe for huge pots. This week we examine three of those pots; all pots were greater than $400,000! All of these pots were played at Full Tilt Poker’s $300/$600 Pot-Limit Omaha tables.
Last week’s largest hand involved, of course, Isildur1. At a six-handed table, Brian Townsend folded under-the gun and SxMxF limped in middle position. OMGClayAiken limped [...]
