It sounds like you mean "other Hold-Em games."
If not, then please say so.
I haven't bothered to check in a long while, but in general, the lowest variance Hold-Em game is FR cash game.
The general rule is that folding PRE is very low-variance; playing only winning hands is low variance.
The more players in the game, the more patient you must be for a "good" hand.
Playing tighter means that you're not putting your chips at risk with "speculative hands."
However, there's only so tight you can play, since the blinds force you to bet on "bad hands."
The more often the blinds hit your stack, the more hands you have to play. I'm sure you notice this in your SNG's.

If you are worried about variance, then stick to FR cash games.
The fewer the players at the table, the more hands you play.
The more hands you play, the higher the variance.
Ultimately it's playing hands that creates the variance.
Learn to make friends with the variance. After all, it's the fact that "bad" players can fool themselves into thinking they're "good" players that makes it possible for the game to be lucrative to the few players who are actually "good."
