I thought that any sizeable bet would drive every other hand away since there are no flush draws and QT is the only legitimate straight draw. Also I might get action if an A, K or Q fell on the turn. Do you think in this situation where the board is pretty devoid of draws that it is ok to slowplay this?

You don't want to slowplay to let someone catch up. You want to slowplay against someone who's a spazz. If someone does end up hitting their hand, it's not going to be good enough for them to want to put a lot of money in anyway. Unless, of course, it's this case where they catch up and are now crushing you. You have a good hand and want to win a big pot with it. So start betting on the flop.

your the last to act on the flop, everybody has checked. what you have to do here is to bet and hope that some other guy has slowplayed a worse jack.

Throw out your standard c-bet in hopes that you get check/raised so you can push. On this board they either have something or they don't, no need to get cute and try to string them along.

My bankroll is the amount of money I would spend or lose before I got a job. It is calculated by adding my net worth to whatever I can borrow.
