Something I have learned...
Since joining FTR, I have been going through some interesting processes in my life. I have just gotten past the "boot" stage of being in the Marine Corps, and have begun to get past the 'protective curtain of home' stage in my life. Now I'm learning a bit about myself. I have always wondered why I have never been really good at any one thing in particular, and I think that the answer has manifested itself in a sort of cummulative manner.
I'll start with poker. Poker is fascinating. It takes a sharp mind, keen wit, and a certain studiousness that comes naturally to me. Anyway, poker easily drew me in. I was caught in a spiral of books, forums, and poker sites. I acquired all the tools I thought and was told I'd need. I learned, and played and learned more. I helped others learn. I found FTR, and had a fast track to the top so to speak. Then, my interest was taken. Not lost, just transferred to something else. As strange as it sounds, Halo 3! I mean, no joke. I started playing hours of it. Besides my MMA it was all I did. I joined a team, then got traded. Real league type s***. Recently, I have delved into swimming. I have been swimming alot, and watching the Olympics constantly.
Anyway, anyone who has read this far, thanks. What I have learned about me recently, is that I have a lot of focus. However, when I begin to get bored, my focus shifts. It's like, on massive shift completely in the opposite direction. Then, I'm totally focused again. For whatever length of time I have until I get bored again. This is what I learned about me since I joined FTR. It doesn't have anything to do with FTR, but thats my story. I needed to say all that to someone. I could have started a blog, but I wouldn't stick with it. I'll work on my flaws, and keep ghosting FTR.
THANKS GUYS!! and courtie...
