    himself fucker.
"the cards in my hand give me an 86% chance of winning, also they basically ensure that the writes of this movie are out of touch with the actual game and are pandering to the un-poker-educated TO EARN THEIR MONIES."

I thought this was a really odd opening line...

I watched it online today while bored at work after reading this thread.

It was a pretty crappy movie.

must keep in perspective that to us rounders sucks. who here can watch that movie and like it for much reason other than sentimental? back when we thought the poker content wasn't terribad we could watch it for more, and most of us loved it (including me)

I agree with everyone here that says this movie was terrible. I just liked seeing all of the famous poker pros make short appearances. That and the fact Shannon Elizabeth was only in the movie until the main actor found out she was a hooker...lol

Best poker movie since Rounders? I wouldn't doubt it, for now. I'd like to hear recommendations.

PkrFanatic had me watch a movie called Shade (with none other than sylvester stalone) which was actually quite good.

However, the writers had apparently never heard of "table stakes"

i think that your general idea is kind of silly thinking. if everyone thought like that, that would mean no cop could think dirty harry was great, no lawyer would think civil action was great, and no time traveling robots would think terminator was great.
