folds the flop...if you want to play you need to lead the flop or turn...i prefer the turn. but you arent beating anything here except maybe KQs. i think this hand is too marginal to play oop.

I don't mind repping an ace here 'cause I don't think he has one.

Villain is 33/7 over 71 hands if that matters.

Here is how the hand played out.

grandma772 raises [$30].
FOLDemJAGON calls [$15].
** Dealing River ** [ 7d ]
grandma772 checks.
FOLDemJAGON checks.
grandma772 shows [ Ts, Td ] two pairs, aces and tens.
FOLDemJAGON doesn't show [ 5c, 5d ] two pairs, aces and fives.
grandma772 wins $89 from the main pot with two pairs, aces and tens.

I thought I would post this hand because I played it non-standardlike. Before you start berating my for my minraise I think it is effective here for a few reasons. I would also like to preface this with the fact that villain bet 1/2 the pot on the turn which I doubt he does with an A and a flushdraw on board though I was still leery of trip As. I probably checkfold if he bets $20 or more.

1. It serves as a river blocking bet. If I just call the turn villain is going to KNOW I don't have the A and will be perfectly comfortable putting out a large river bet either as a bluff or for value depending on his holding.

2. It gives me information. If villain comes over the top of my raise I can fold easily and feel confident I have the worst hand.

3. I gain value. I can probably get worse hands to call me and some better hands may fold, JJ/QQ/KK MAYBE. A standard 3x raise will only get called by a hand that beats me and a worse hand folds every time.

Thoughts? Or am I just a fish that got lucky he had a bad hand? Also, note the 3-bet preflop from the blinds and his holding. I really don't think you can say QQ+ anytime someone does that.
