I would have raised the flop for sure, you were lucky you didn't face a huge river bet.

A turn raise is less likely to turn your hand into 72o.

I might raise the turn for cheap SD. I think we are ahead about 50% of the time. His line screams 77-99. Might be a weaker OP scared of calling as well though..

The river bet was lower than the turn bet. This would be a good play if you knew the opponent was going to bet 3/4 pot on the river but would check to you because you showed strength on the turn. What happens when you raise the turn, and get a call, then he pushes on the river? Tough spot. Otherwise Villians line is weak, and Ping's strategy will work.

I figured his most likely range was 77-99, or possibly JJ. I called the turn with the intention of raising a turn bet or betting if checked, but then bitched out on my read and played the hand passively. The problem was that after leading the turn for $30 he only had around $75 left. Any raise by me commits him if he wants to play along. If he re-raises AI then I'm pretty much commited to calling. If he calls and pushes the river then I'm in the same position.
First of all I should have stuck to my read. If I chose to just call the turn then I should have pushed the river when the J came and he bet less. If I wanted to keep the pot smaller then I should have taken control with a raise on the flop. I think trying to do it on the turn would have been too late. Because his stack wasn't very deep, I was at his mercy if he decided to put in a decent turn bet, which he did. The fact that he had a significantportion of his stack commited at that point didn't give me much room to manuever. Any raise by me would commit us both. I couldn't find a fold either, so I was left calling and hoping that I either caught another T or didn't face an AI on the river. If his stack had been deeper then I think it's fine to wait until the turn to put in a raise.
BTW my tens were good. He had 99.
