I've been playing pocket tens to weak lately and I know I've lost some value. So this hand came up today and I figured I would post it. The SB was out for my blood, reraising every hand I got into, usually with nothing. Sucked out on me once, then pulled a good bluff and showed. Thought I would take a gamle and try to get his stack.

UTG ($9.90)

UTG raises to $1, 2 folds, Hero raises to $5, SB calls $4.90, 1 fold, UTG raises to $9.9, Hero raises to $22.3, SB calls $17.30.

I like your push over UTG, because it puts the squeeze on SB and sticks him in a really crappy spot with a hand like JJ or even QQ, though he still might call with your read. If he has facecards your flipping with a little overlay...
This is certainly a "play" and wouldnt be how I would expect you to play normally, but as a "play" I think its good.

against a villain as described it's standard. I hope your TT holds up here.

Um, can I point out that the SB only called your enormous massive PF bet here? If your read is right then a call for almost 1/4 his stack seems a massive display of strength.

if the SB was the crazy one, why make this play when UTG is playing back at you? i would just fold after utg reraises it

That was the idea. Originally, I thought when I made the big raise that the SB would call or raise, and UTG would get out of the way, since UTG was playing somewhat weak. The SB had been calling overbets from other players with weak hands, so I wasn't supprised to see him do it here. When UTG reraised, I figured it was a small pair trying to look like aces. I figured I would put him to the test. After I pushed, I really didn't expect the SB to call, but didn't mind if he did since (as stated) he had been playing weak cards.

Like I said, SB was playing really crazy and sloppy. To see him call for 1/4 stack with a weak hand would not supprise me at all.

UTG took a long time to push. My exact thought when it happened was "If he had AA or KK, he would have moved quickly here since there are two other people in the pot. Since he had to talk himself into it, he's got a smaller pair or AK 0/s." And I was willing to flip a coin with him if he had AK or AQ since I felt the SB was putting dead money in the pot.
Again, I realise this was a play, and I wouldn't normally overbet/push with TT preflop against two players. I just felt that it was good here. If my thinking was off, please let me know.
