Villian is 36/2. I figure I'm either splitting or stacking the flush here almost always. I guess there's no reason he couldn't have a Q, but is there any reason to think he has it? To me, this line looks more like a flush or a counterfeited bigger 5.

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (5 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

BB ($140.51)
UTG ($51.70)

Button ($18.42)
Hero ($73.61)

Preflop: Hero is SB with 9, 5. Hero posts a blind of $0.25.
UTG calls $0.50, 1 fold, Button calls $0.50, Hero (poster) completes, BB checks.

Flop: ($2) K, 5, 5 (4 players)
Hero bets $1.5, BB folds, UTG folds, Button calls $1.50.

Turn: ($5) Q (2 players)
Hero checks, Button bets $3, Hero calls $3.

River: ($11) Q (2 players)

KQ seems like the only logical hand for him to have with a Q in it - if he had a bigger stack I may throw out a $5 blocking bet but against a shortstack its not really worth it. I probably make the crying call on the river too.

I personally like it. I highly doubt he has the Q but if he does, oh well at least he's a shorty. Even though he ended up allin, you played it in such a way that loses the least when behind and makes the most when ahead. I wouldn't even be surprised if he thinks he's value betting a flush.

Then you should push the river. Checking will almost never induce a bluff, and he probably doesn't have a Q, so just push and hope to get called by a flush. The last thing you want is for the river to go check/check and have him muck a flush. I'd probably bet the turn too.
