Why do you want 3bet oop here? I think we fold out the hands that pay us off the best, and leave hands that are harder to play against in a big pot. Also, unless you make a large 3 bet, you are are getting called by setminers. Gonna have to be at least $20, and UTG is still to act. I wouldn't fault a 3 bet, it's just a bit riskier. If we then get called, we have to lead for another $30 and we're probably whiffing the flop. If we do hit and we're beat, we're stacking off. I don't like it.
I also think hero should lead here. I hate check-raises on flops in multiway pots, you can get yourself into some sick spots
as played its a super easy fold, you'd be crazy to pay him off.
as a rule, if you hit top pair, bet. Don't check.

Does a set push all in on a flop like this, where there are no draws at all ?
If I had a set here I would probably just call the reraise and try to get his whole stack.
I didnt feel comfortable 3 betting AQ OOP against a UTG raiser and UTG+1 calling. Maybe that's weaksauce.

well we do take the pot down for a nice pick up preflop a lot. also for setminers calling you act like that is a bad thing? so they miss most of the time and we win a bigger pot. if we get called we dont always have to cbet.

yes a set pushes this. your not playing against yourself, a set could do this or call.
i guess you should get comfortable 3betting this.

If we kill their odds, its great if they call. I guess I worded it funny, I just meant we needed to raise enough, not to $16 but to $20.
I like taking down the pot, but I woudl be more inclined to 3bet oop here if it wasn't UTG and UTG+1, which is more likely we get called, and with decent hands. But all very opponent dependent...

Flop: Q 4 8 ($12.5, 3 players)
Hero checks, UTG checks, UTG+1 bets $9, Hero raises to $25, UTG folds, UTG+1 raises all-in $89.58, Hero calls.
Turn: 2 ($200.66, 1 player + 1 all-in - Main pot: $191.66, Sidepot 1: $9)
River: 8 ($200.66, 1 player + 1 all-in - Main pot: $191.66, Sidepot 1: $9)
Results:
Final pot: $200.66
UTG+1 shows Kd Qd
Hero shows Ac Qc
I figured he would'nt push all in with a set on that dry flop, so I called.

I still think it's a fold unless he sucks postflop (which he obviously does), but I quite like a big squeeze pre here.

yep, it happens, make a note of the player's tendencies but its not the norm. Also, a pair of kings or aces probably pushes over you too.

Doubt aces and kings just calls the raise UTG+1 though.
The only thing I was afraid of was 88, 44 and I was just hoping that he would play a set on this board like I would do
Looking back on this hand, I guess I should have just 3bet preflop, and lead out on the flop.
