I found that in this hand i somewhat hated watching it back in poker tracker. At the time i was doing it i could rationalise my descisions but i wonder now whether i was just over thinking/being stupid

Its 5/10c NL on Full tilt. I am dealt AhKs on the SB.

UTG raises to 3x bb, fold, fold, button calls, hero calls, villain(bb) calls.

*** FLOP *** [Jc 2s 8d] - pot - $1.20
Hero bets half pot $0.60 - at the time i thought that given the weakness of the table anyone who hasnt hit a pair would fold and i was fairly sure i could out play one caller anyway. I've found that 1/2 pot cont bets are just as effective at min stakes as 2/3rd or pot size since no one seems to be really thinking much, they either have something and call or don't and fold. I'm also not about to get heavily involved in bluffing this guy out of pos so a smaller bet saves me money for when the villain calls and i miss the turn.
Villain calls, fold, fold.
Villain is 21/15/1.5 over 75 hands.

*** TURN *** [Jc 2s 8d] [As] - pot $2.15

I think i probably have the best hand at this stage since i gave the possible straight draw reasonable odds and i felt that AJ wouldve raised me on the flop. I bet $1.70 and the villain calls.

*** RIVER *** [Jc 2s 8d As] [5h] - pot $5.20

The 5 hasnt completer either a flush or straight, bar 34 but theres no way this guys was calling that on the flop. I thought if i checked i'd be opening myself up to a bluff though on this river so i put out a blocking/value on a J bet of $3. The villain min raised me to $6 leaving me a $3 in a $14.2 pot with TPTK.
This guys stats dont suggest to me someone who has played J8, J2, J5, A8, A5 or A2, and all the ace hands he wouldve folded on the flop anyway, unless he was trying to pull a move on me, but i dont think he's capable of that.. So that leaves a busted draw, a set or J weak kicker? A set probably wouldve raised the turn no?

So Jx or busted draw, both of which i beat.. my only worry is he slowed down his AJ perhaps? but i'm gettin nearly 5:1 on my $3 call so thats ok.

I'm more concerned about earlier in the hand though anyway? who thinks i shouldve check/folded the flop?

U messed it up imho...
If UTG is villain and has stats 21/15/1,5 i usually reraise this preflop, and just make a cbet/fold if called.
As played preflopi check/fold flop, not close.
As played on flop i bet/fold turn.
As played on turn i may call the minraise b'cos of odds, and hope he shows up with something retarded.
Larsmars: "I folded Aces today, I can't remember last time I did it, it must have been like half a year ago."
Andypandy: "Preflop??"

Villain was not the preflop raiser, villain is BB, but UTG made the preflop raise, and i'm OOP. Its a 4 way hand on the flop and the guys in late pos are like 33/8/1.

That said the flop is what i felt i screwed up so i pretty much agree with what you said.

meeloche is on a distinguished road
I 3 bet this preflop 100% of the time. When you do this you get the initiative and will be more successful with your cbet. You want to play big pots with you're big hands.

As Played I would probably call since its a minraise and I would hope he showed up with something stupid.
