I think I played this hand reasonably well, but again perhaps you have a different opinion/line that you prefer.

Lobsang73000: 27/14/3.7 (141 hands)

so the type that's not a complete idiot but not great either.

I think his minraise can mean a fairly wide range, including FD's, some TP's and sometimes 2nd pair or another pp to get me off A high etc.

in any case, being fullstacked I think shoving or reraising is incorrect.

I can bet/fold the turn fairly safely against him, but the turn card isn't the greatest as some small draws got there.

So, in this case on the river I think I can bet/fold but he'll probably pay me with his top pair type hands here.

i swear i hate minraises from players in position. its just so weird. if u put in the 3rd bet, its like u r basically committing yourself to the hand, if u call, u r letting him draw basically for free on the turn and the river.

however, i think this guy is aggressive enough that it warrants putting the 3rd bet in on the flop. you are just letting him play his hand perfectly if u just call and c/c turn c/c or b/f river. i might play 77-TT the way you've played this hand, which i would think is fine since it doesnt have that much equity against his range anyways, but you have tptk ... you can't just let him outplay you, it's pretty hard to m ake a hand this strong.

i don't think it's worth 3betting on this flop unless i wan to get it in.
his range is huge, so I think if i 3bet here i'm folding his crap and getting shoved/called by strong hands.

perhaps this is why a turn bet might be an OK line.

basically, unless i had some sort of laggy image I don't know why people always think that getting it in with TPTK type hands is the greatest when you're generally only called by better..

imo, goal is to make the hand easier to play and not to allow your opponent to play perfectly against you.

i considered the call/donk non spade turn line also, i just thought that it doesn't really give you enough information, and makes it almost as hard to play. say you call flop, turn is like a red duece, you lead out, he raises..... your line looks so fishy that you might get raised by any two. say he calls, river is a spade ... now what? ... there are just a lot of difficult situations you are going to be in. the only way to avoid this, and to avoid letting your opponent play perfectly is to put the 3rd bet in on the flop.

the way you decided to play this hand allows you to win the least and lose the most. curious to see what other people think though.
