Im with Gabe. Bet the turn higher, I have him on a straight draw then bluffed the flush.

Common Gabe, be helpful or be quiet.

Why straight draw more likely than flush draw? How can one tell the difference?

No one said he didn't have the flush. Gabe just said he should have put more money in while he was ahead, in the long run it pays better.

He's made his flush, imo. Regardless, when their line is c/c, c/c, they're usually drawing, so make them pay to suck out. $20<PSB usually gets a fold here.

what he said was actually pretty helpful if you look into it. How many better hands limp/call pf, c/c the flop, and check the turn on this board?

Gabe said no such thing. Gabe said "I bet more on the turn" and then later "Get better at hand reading". If gabe had said "[you] should have put more money in while [you were] ahread, in the long run it pays better." I wouldnt be writing this post.

so why exactly are you writing this post?

I'm not trying to be an ass, I'm genuinely interested. IMHO, the remark about hand-reading is probably (in my eyes, definitely) more beneficial then spelling everything out for someone, assuming they will put a little bit of thought as to why he said it. Again though, just my opinion.

No way! Most players bet their flush for value on this river, not try and check/raise because 95% of the players here without the flush check/behind at 100 NL. He's definately not good more times than not, especially from a loose passive player.

I was talking more about his "I bet more on the turn" post, than his "get better at handreading"

If we're going to continually chant its all about the "why, why, why, why, why" we shouldnt just accept when respected members continually post "how how how how how", is all.

And I believe gabe was just being snarky with his "get better at handreading" post.

my bad, I was referring to the turn which is where this whole discussion stemmed from. We are way ahead of the range of any reasonably straight-forward villain on the turn. I probably could have been a bit more clear. I agree that the river is a fold.
