JL will become famous soon enough
Villain seems like a Tagg regular.
I don't have any other reads than that.

In general, when a Tagg takes a bet flop, check turn, bet river line, they are rarely bluffing, right?
In this situation, he takes this line and pots the river, so I was quite sure that I was beat. However, I don't think I can fold this.

Thoughts on situations like this?
Is AJ a fold here?

$2/$4 No Limit Holdem
5 players

Stacks:
UTG ($361.90)
CO ($849.45)
BTN ($815.90)
SB ($400.00)
Hero (BB) ($400.00)

Pre-flop: ($6, 5 players) Hero is BB
3 folds, SB raises to $12, Hero calls $8

Flop: ($24, 2 players)
SB bets $16, Hero calls $16

Turn: ($56, 2 players)
SB checks, Hero checks

River: ($56, 2 players)
SB bets $55, Hero calls $55

I guess would call here because of our hand strength relative to what range he's betting with. I don't think he's bluffing very often but without any mention of his abilities I assume he can have like A10/AJ here. He can also have some small diamonds as well probably. I'm really tempted to fold though because of his sizing.

i would call. i mean, just cause he's not pure bluffing very often doesnt mean we arent ahead of his value-betting range right? i often see tags take this line with Ax.

I'd expect a tag to value bet TPGK less tbh. I also dont expect them to bluff because I dont expect you to fold much of your range.
Just playing to improve.

This is really weird with his turn check. I think we should call as he can have like Ax(unlikely imo)/KQ and then something like JT that we lose to.

In a word, yes. Especially BVB. Even more so from a 22/17 than a 17/15.
The line sure seems like a whiffed turn CR & trying to make up value on the river or JT. I don't mind a fold here without better reads though b/c the bet sizing doesn't jive w/ Ace rag. I'm much more likely to call this BvB than otherwise. A SB steal % would be very helpful.
Playing live . . . thanks alot Bin Laden.

like meeloche said, i would call because of our hand strength is too strong to fold after the river. however this is usually a value line and i wouldn't be calling here with Ax. this hand being bvb makes me want to call this more also.

Edit: If he opens dumb hands like Q3/Q4 then it's a call.
