I bet the turn and fold to a raise(depending on read).
As played, river is a call.

Raise more preflop (I raise 3.5BB+1bb pr. limper), to isolate (AK is a hand you want to get HU with).
Turn check is fine for potcontrol and for inducing riverbluffs/rivercalls from weaker hands.
I like your river line too. Leading river is also good (I will almost always lead river if the last card wasnt a 3rd club).
Btw Irish, you need to get some reads to post with these hands. For example checking this turn is bad against certain opponents.
One last question, hows the level of play at NL400 at party (6-max)?

Depending on read I would fire a second barrell or check.
With your line, I might try a river bet to get a call or fold. I think your AK is still good on river but I no read on op.

I think checking the turn is good regardless of opponent. The suited queen was not a very good card for his hand.
Seems fine overall except the amount of your preflop raise. Raise more preflop to punish limpers.

If I have something I'll give it. Usually I'm trying to 5 or 6 table so I haven't got much. Also sometimes I'll leave out a read because I wan't an answer which applies when I have no read.
I wouldn't have checked the turn if I thought this guy was a fish though.

I couln't tell you. I have nothing to compare it to since I just moved over from FR at a different site. It's harder then Party 200NL 6max though. I really feel like I'm pwning the table when I play 200Nl but I think I'm getting outplayed a little at 400NL. Hence all the hands I'm posting.

The queen is actually a good card for a fish's range, I think.

I am not sure that Q is so scary. Villian is limp calling KJ? AT? AQ?
J9 seems somewhat likely.
I think I lead this turn, because I am leading turn with nothing a reasonable amount of the time. But what do I know. Maybe it's better to keep this pot small.

I think you played it fine.
His river bet is a little big so it would make me wonder if I'm beat. But the flush draw missed and you've shown weakness so his range is huge. Problem is if he's not a fish and he actually called you with an ace (or better) the only hand you're beating is AJ and I see that making a smaller value bet on the river.
Just a note, I raise to $24 preflop here and hope it becomes heads-up.

I think thats a pretty easy call. $80 into a $122 pot on the river is a busted draw often enough to make a call +EV. Any read on the opponent here? It would really help.
On a side note, until recently I would play the hand exactly the same way you played it. But lately at 6Max I feel that a better course of action is to fire off a $65-$80 turn bet and fold to any raise. If he and the river completely briks like it did in this case I probably bet $100 and again fold to any raise. I think this is a better way to get value from Ax.
