Yeah go and bluff out 1010 JJ on the flop here.

If I were you I'd bet 1/2 pot since it could look like you have a set and want action.

Also it'll cost much less when he has QQ/KK/AA.
when the vpip's are high and the value bets are like razors, who can be safe?

cause we have a hand where if its checked down we have a reasonable chance to be good and if we bet and are raised we have to fold and villain probably shoves all in with AQ KQ JT any spade draw KJ KT AK 44 and any gutshots/air he decides to randomly shove with but is kind of unlikely because of texture...

what im saying is it turns a hand with some marginal sd value into a bluff- and a pretty costly one at that. Even so, I think its the right play to cbet, but 1/2 pot seems a lot better than 3/4 or full pot.

i disagree i think this is a pretty standard cbet sauce, since when can we check down an underpair OOP for value?
i like the 1/2 pot bet too because we dont lose many monies if he has a hand or are raised and it still looks strong
although do you think we can fold out AQ or random Qx with more than 1/2 pot? it might be worth it

I try to check down hands like this sometimes if his range is heavily weighted towards small pairs- and then if i do the rest of the night I 3bet and bluff him mercilessly...

When we are winning anyway (villain has 22-88, some suited connecting nonsense).

Let's say villain calls twice with 22-AA (yeah, I would assume he 4 bets AA/KK *usually* - but he doesn't need to because he closes out the action pre-flop - and if you are 3-betting lite calling here with AA is kinda cool).

Ignoring the 99 chop, you beat 7 pairs, fold 2 you beat (TT/JJ), and spew the other 3 times.

Assuming he always folds 22-JJ, your bet has some EV because he has TT/JJ more often than AA-KK. It's not very much EV because he be playing a K or Q badly, or float you because you're re-raising light or something.

For metagame, you have to lead this flop a bunch if you are re-raising light, no?

checking it down is good when the pot isnt so big because its easier to snap off a bluff that way
