UTG+1 is std TAG, SB is solid and thinking, not overly defending his blinds. I´ve been caught floating and squeezing before but not by him. I was torn apart that he a) has the goods and expected me to raise and b) he´s annoyed and gets silly with 22-88
$1/$2 No Limit Holdem
6 players

UTG ($212.60)
UTG 1 ($224.00)
CO ($191.50)

Pre-flop: ($3, 6 players) Hero is BB
1 fold, UTG 1 raises to $7, 2 folds, SB calls $6, Hero raises to $27, UTG 1 folds, SB raises to $87, [color=#cc0000]Hero goes all-in $230.95

I dont think people 4bet fold when they size their 4 bets like this. Your making him pay 127 to win about 350. Even if he puts you on QQ+/AK hes should call he with all his pairs (22-88) which are what your hoping he has so I don't get this play at all.

Disclaimer: I play microstakes, so shoot me down, but...
If he does have 22-88, and puts you on a QQ+/AK, he needs 41% equity but has 35%, so he folds. If he has QQ/AK he is getting damn near exactly the right price, so I guess he folds to avoid variance/rake. If he has KK+ he obviously calls.
However, if he has 22-88, or QQ/AK, and thinks there's even a small chance that you're trying to buy out of a squeeze he's getting a pretty good price to call.
So in order for him to fold your read that he has 22-88 has to be dead on, *and* he has to put you exactly on AK/QQ+. This seems like a stretch to me. I guess if you think he might try it on with 22-88 he might try it on with some suited connectors, but does that happen often enough to balance out the above? And would he have called with suited connectors OOP?
Am I wrong about this? If so, why please?

This is bad because
1) He might have called a big hand (88+,AQ+) because the initial raiser is UTG.
2) You just squeezed an UTG raiser and SB caller (totally different if its BTN/SB).. this means alot of strength, but hes RE-RAISING YOU!!!
3) Once he 4bets this, whether its 22+ or KQs hes never folding to a shove anyway imo, and obv his range crushes you. You want to pull these moves when you have a certain amount of FE, here you dont.
Fold to 4bet. Tough spot if u somehow get here with 88

If you're sure he hasnt seen you squeezing alot I would get it in with
TT-AA, AK maybe AQ or worse if he was shorter but with
A3o I just let it go because I think he's hardly ever folding in this spot even if he's weakish.
(Weak players usually show up here with 66-JJ, sometimes AQ/AK + really random shit but I rarely see QQ+.)

Your thinking is good, but you fail to see that he is getting the correct pot odds to call with 22-88 and it's not even close for him. This is burning money.
