Villain is 26/21/16 over about 80 hands. He's been 3betting me a fair bit and vice versa. I don't think a significant hand has gone to showdown between us prior to this.
$0.25/$0.5 No Limit Holdem
5 players
Converted at weaktight.com
Stacks:
UTG D1r7y5p0ng3 ($82.00)
CO ladidada ($50.75)
BTN ChiliHotDog ($51.75)
SB Hero ($50.25)
BB LongGong ($44.75)
Pre-flop: ($0.75, 5 players) Hero is SB
D1r7y5p0ng3 raises to $1.75, 2 folds, Hero calls $1.50, 1 fold
Flop: ($4, 2 players)
Hero checks, D1r7y5p0ng3 bets $3, Hero calls $3
Turn: ($10, 2 players)
Hero checks, D1r7y5p0ng3 bets $4, Hero calls $4
River: ($18, 2 players)
Hero ($41.5)?
I guess I should start by asking what do you guys think of my play thus far? Should I donk-bet the flop? C/R flop? C/Shove Turn?
There's a whole host of questions I could ask here, the more I think about the hand the more I think I shouldn't really have gotten myself into this spot.
Does anyone call with the 77 purely to farm sets and just C/F flop? It seems a bit weak versus such an aggressive opponent.

Open bet the turn for around 8 instead of c/c. If you are going to check and he bets only 4, I'd raise for value because he probably only has overcards and doesn;t know how to bet size. There are so many draws out there it's sick. Some players open bet their draws for small amounts like this figuring there is some FE plus if called they are getting the money in with good odds.
As played river is check. You aren't going to get worse hands to fold by betting here, and also you can't really get value from double barrel cbet bluffs because they are going to fold the river anyway. Check and if he has a hand that is ahead of you he will bet, if he doesn't he's checking behind. So c/f seems ok on the river as played.

Preflop and flop are good. I wouldn't lead the turn cause it doesn't accomplish anything. All leading the turn does is fold out worse and induce bluff raises. c/c the turn is fine against most aggro players, and I would probably c/f the river although its seems close against this guy. I wouldn't falt you for calling him down here.

Seems like a pretty easy c/c, but whats with his turn bet sizing ?? Very weird, makes me want to call more w/ no read...maybe c/f depending on his river bet size.
