Hi, I only took up 6-max recently so I thought I'd get some feedback. Some of these hands are pretty ordinary but as I'm not sure what standard play is at 6-max i thought i'd put them in anyway. I'm currently running at 21/8 with an AF of 4.8.

Hand 1: How do you play the flop and turn if different to me?

Cryptologic
No Limit Holdem Ring game
Blinds: $0.25/$0.50
5 players
Converter

Pre-flop: (5 players) Legendash is SB with
UTG calls, CO raises to $2.5, Button folds, Legendash calls, BB folds, UTG calls.

Flop: ($8, 3 players)
Legendash checks, UTG checks, CO bets $5, Legendash raises to $12, UTG folds, CO calls.

Turn: ($32, 2 players)
Legendash is all-in $31.45...

Hand 2: Is this too strong with an overpair on a rainbow board?

Cryptologic
No Limit Holdem Ring game
Blinds: $0.25/$0.50
6 players
Converter

Pre-flop: (6 players) Legendash is BB with
3 folds, Button raises to $2, SB calls, Legendash raises to $5, Button calls, SB calls.

Flop: ($15, 3 players)
SB checks, Legendash bets $15, 2 folds.
Uncalled bets: $15 returned to Legendash.

Results:
Final pot: $15

Hand 3: Are the flush outs enough to make this call or do you think this is a losing proposition?

Cryptologic
No Limit Holdem Ring game
Blinds: $0.25/$0.50

Pre-flop: (5 players) Legendash is Button with
UTG folds, CO calls, Legendash raises to $1.5, 2 folds, CO calls.

Flop: ($3.75, 2 players)
CO checks, Legendash checks.

Turn: ($3.75, 2 players)
CO checks, Legendash bets $3.5, CO raises all-in $12.98, Legendash calls.

Results:
Final pot: $29.71

Hand 4: Here I feel the CR showed strength and he came straight over the top, easy fold?

Cryptologic
No Limit Holdem Ring game
Blinds: $0.25/$0.50

Pre-flop: (6 players) Legendash is SB with
3 folds, Button raises to $2, Legendash calls, BB folds.

Flop: ($4.5, 2 players)
Legendash checks, Button bets $3, Legendash raises to $7, Button raises to $28, Legendash folds.
Uncalled bets: $21 returned to Button.

Results:
Final pot: $18.5

Hand 5: This one I really wasn't sure about, villain had 32/11 stats so I think this may have been too tight. Still I imagine <JJ would have called a raise so I'm not sure.

Cryptologic
No Limit Holdem Ring game
Blinds: $0.25/$0.50

Pre-flop: (6 players) Legendash is UTG with
Legendash raises to $1.5, UTG+1 folds, CO raises to $2.5, 3 folds, Legendash raises to $6.5, CO raises to $10, Legendash raises to $16.5, CO raises all-in $47.9, Legendash folds.
Uncalled bets: $31.4 returned to CO.

Results:
Final pot: $33.75

Hand 3, I think the time to let this go (if ever) is when he 5-bets < all/in!
I guess you can call getting 5:1 though. He surely has AA at this point.

Hand #1: Fold preflop against a lot of opponents. If playing it, don't build such a big pot with it. I prefer a c/c flop line.

Hand #2: Reraise more preflop. I like to follow the 3.5x to 4x rule. Betting pot on the flop is a little too strong.

Hand #3: You can't call that turn c/r with just the nut FD. You should have checked behind. What you've magaed to do is blow yourself off a nice draw.

Hand #4: Obviously have to fold. But why are you making this play? Why not make a play with A high preflop? I prefer to reraise with AQ in the blinds in most cases unless he's a nitty preflop raiser, if that's the case I would fold.

Hand #5: I would fold but everyone always calls me an idiot for that so I will say call.

try raising some of your better limping/calling hands. IMO, 6max plays so much easier when you are the aggressor, although i guess your pretty aggro anyways w/ a 4.8 AF.

Thanks for the replies

Ok so i've been thinking about increasing my PFR from 8 to about 13 but the question is how. The current lower limit of my raising hands are AJ+, TT+, KQ. So the obvious answer is to raise the next couple down on each of these scales, ie A9+, 88+, JT+

Or alternatively I can raise in late position with all manner of hands down to 55+ and 45s+ and stay tight in early position which seems a stronger idea. However I feel a lot of those sort of hands benefit from being in multiway pots as you're going to be drawing with your suited connectors and shooting for trips (and hoping someone else hits some high cards) with l0w PP's, so why raise with them???

I tended to limp pp's at these stakes. You can raise a lot of junk in position, Suited gappers and connectors, and if ur lagg also real huge junk like Kxs.
Try opening up in CO and BU.
Check out the new blog!!!

I play about 25/13 ish. I tend to raise all PP from anywhere not on the blinds (although I may start experimenting with just limping them, as advised by ISF). Raise all suited connecters + gappers starting at 9 10 UTG down to 5 6 on the Button. In early position I have stopped playing A 10, K 10, K J, Q J os and other such hands that don't play so well OOP. Also I raise most suited aces depending on table conditions. On the button depends on the blinds, if they are tight any two once every few orbits, but generally a bare ace is enough. I only really limp in the SB.

However I've only been playing for about 7 months, so this is still not by any means perfect I would be interested if anyway had other suggestions.
