agree with turn advice and I d usually 3 bet about 70% here pre

edit : but that's cuz my game includes quite a bit of floating OOP vs regs. If you don't like doing that fancy shit postflop the always 3 betting is fine.
when the vpip's are high and the value bets are like razors, who can be safe?

i wouldnt say always 3bet AQ, i just mean in the situation where u r oop against a lp opener who is 22/19, i would def 3bet. if this dude opened UTG and we are bb, probly almost never 3bet ...

ya agree with your comments Marshall and wasn't suggest you were saying "always" 3 bet AQ

But even vs this guy, I like calling hands as strong as AQo and KQ oop sometimes OOP just so I can call some A and K hi flops OOP and represent credible hands on later streets, esp if they're the types to defend 3 best and fk with me when I have A hi on the flop of a bloated pot OOP.

weird a legitimately tough spot for once

uh i guess call and play poker on the river. 3-betting turn is a pretty bad option though.

its probably technically a turn fold though. Your hand has so little chance to improve and he's just not bluffing here much if ever.

i think if i were playing my A game i'd fold turn until i saw noticeable exploitation of this line from him.

All I can see that beats us is A8/88. When that range is so narrow, surely his weird shit allowance means we can't fold?

problem is that that is likely to be his entire range when we have no history

also this is definitely one of those cliche "if you call turn you must call river" spots, which is why this turn is so important

Ya I agree that if we call here we have to call river.

If we are villain here for a second, what do you think of this line with A5?

His range is definitely wider, but the problem is whether this is a call or not, I think shoving the turn is like the kind of mistake I would make where I'm value-towning myself when behind and folding worse when ahead.

3bet pre and bet the flop. as played i def. call here because villain can think were just stabbing at the pot some large % of time when the flop goes check/check.

I normally 3 bet preflop, I had some sort of reasoning for not doing it this time not sure what exactly though. River card is the 8 of clubs and I check to villain who bets 60 into 75. What now?

u dont really beat anything at this point. the flush just got there, and the 8 is a remarkably bad card for him to bluff. i think u are behind almost always. you only beat a pure bluff.
