i was only in the game about 10-12 hands and then i get AA on the button. no reads, no familiar players. i should have made more money here? i raised fairly hard PF so i thought a set of JJ or QQ was possible from the early position caller. too weak? i think my chance to bet for more value was probably the turn, but when i passed that up i probably passed up the river opportunity as well

lol

right, that was my question. a few of the thoughts in my mind at the time:

1. i was early on the table, no reads whatsoever
2. my PRF said i had a real hand and I still got called
3. flop came 2 of the pairs that would likely call that kind of raise might have caught a set

don't get me wrong, after i had a few more orbits and had a better read on these kids i would have been a lot more likely to raise the turn.

so i take it u don't like the play

i don't either, really. i might have gotten another 2/3 pot raise called by him there, but another smooth call could have set him up for a push, and that would have been a really tough call to make. so i checked the turn to avoid that until i was in a better spot.

Right. If he has QJ or a set, he's leading the river after you checked the turn behind.
