I don't like playing other people I know - especially nice guys like EasyT and especially when I know we're both whoring B2B's. I know he buys in short at times since he's just trying to break even while clearing the bonuses. This will explain my passiveness on this hand. I won't sit at his table any more because it throws me off.

EasyT told me he had two pair on this hand. Should he call the turn here since he would probably double up if he hit a boat? Plus he has the chance to split if an Ace hits. He said no - but I would call this every time if I knew I could double up if I hit. What do you think? What do I have anyway?

I would not call this bet with two pair for the purpose of trying to hit a boat. He has four outs, plus some split outs, but being only 8 percent or so to hit the full house he would have to double up every single time he hit his full house to make the play profitable, and it's definitely a losing play to call here.

If the board pairs I would really hope that you don't pay him off. You might call a decent-sized bet, but I don't think he is going to win that much off of you even if he boats up. Would you double him up if he hit? I would hope not since you're at best splitting the pot. Besides, the pot is too small at this point to get all of EasyT's chips in on the river. He would have to overbet the pot all in, which should be a clear fold for you, even if you had an ace. Or he would have to bet and you would need to reraise him and then of course he reraises you all in, I would hope that you would never reraise him on the river after the board pairs. Calling this turn bet is a major -EV play IMHO.

As for your hand, I could see this being a total bluff a lot of times. Button raise means nothing, and after he checks with the four-card straight on the turn it brings up a great situation to bluff. This is another reason why it's a clear-fold for EasyT, there's a chance that even if he hits you have absolutely nothing and simply fold.

Would you put in an extra 100BB's on the river with the lone ace on a paired board? Probably not right? Maybe the implied odds are there if villian is a huge donkey, but most times not. For example if EasyT called the turn, and the board paired kings, giving him the boat, and he lead out for $25, are you seriously going to raise him here with just the straight? Seems like a standard call to me. If EasyT doesn't fold to a river raise here, you are splitting this pot at best.

And yeah I know what you mean. I ran into eeeee on 3 of my tables while whoring Martins, and we inevitably collided.

Disregard this post. When I woke up this morning I thought about for like 2 minutes and realized it makes no sense for him to call. Sleep = goot. I had AA.
