he's right though.

raise pre to establish post flop fold equity. raise more when you hit in most situations against laggs. Never call behind with a monster in any remotely drawing situation - you're giving laggs exactly what they want and allowing the table to be turned on you.

I think the river is probably a call. If he's a lagg and he makes that river bet, his hand range you can put him on is wider than simply a made flush. He's giving you good odds. I'd call.

Well lets see if you played the turn bad what other possible actions can we do? Folding is not an option. Try to think about what people say instead of insta-flaming them. It's amazing what you can deduce.

So this isnt a condescending, sarcastic remark? Either way whatever. What site is this? The HH's are pretty hard to follow.

If you really have this little self-control then you are picking up the wrong hobby. Im not trolling or trying to extend this little deal. I just hope that you might be able to think about this for a bit. Hopefully after some reflection you will be a better person / poker player because of it.

The hand is under-repped but alot of draws came in. Raising is spewing IMHO. If we want to raise we need to raise the turn. Really there is no other way to play the hand.

If it's any consolation Dislexic, I think you got involved in a fight with the popular kid and everyone rushed to his defense. I thought Gabe's comment lacked content as well. Too bad you're not more popular around here.

Technically speaking you are right, but you could have given him some more advice than: "You played the turn bad."
I know you like to keep your posts to a minimum WPP, but I felt Dislexic needed to hear that he wasn't that wrong up until the point when he went to flaming Gnomes.
No harm, no foul, Gabe. I respect your opinions even if they are the most succinct @ FTR.

I agree with the consensus to raise preflop.

On the turn, why are you flat calling? Afraid of QJ I'm assuming? I'd still say raise here and HARD. I think you gotta pay off a straight here, and make the FD pay hard.

As played, his river bet is too small relative to the pot, so we have to call.
