Villain is very nitty running 13/8 but very aggro too, and 3bet once in the past 50 hands

I probably missed a lead or c/r opportunity on the turn. With the river i was planning to check call but was surprised at his overbet shove.

i think we can get value from AK, AQ type hands, QsXs type hands etc..

as well as setting up a somewhat less awkward river with bet/stack sizes

thoughts on why raising turn is bad?

i dont think anyone said raising turn is bad. I just failed to raise because in the heat of the moment i thought his repeated $5 turn bet was very polarized

Wouldn't a turn bet of $12 be more polarized? I don't see how he bets $5 on this turn with air

yea idk, i figured the only hands that would call a raise, that i beat, would be AQ and maybe AK,kqss.

by polarized i meant nut hands, and weak pair hands that couldn't stand a raise. JJ, QK

umm.. it looks like you have Qx, so he can definitely be value towning himself with a backdoor flush here. I'm probably raising the turn after he bets such a lame amount.

Blah I'd fold this river. I don't think this guy's too likely to have many bd flushes here. He's a 13/8 and you've opened utg, his min 3 betting range is likely pretty damn strong imo and wont contain too many suited cards. Also, the shove sizing on this river looks like it's rarely a bluff and rarely thinish value either. I actually think his range is super strong here, that you have close to a bluff catcher vs this sizing and that this is a pretty easy fold since he's just not bluffing here.

I'd definitely raise the turn for sure because if he's weak, he's likely not pouttin too much more money in anyway on the river, but we can stack his AQ, AK for sure by raising turn and just shoving river.

ya i thought this but with AsQs on board not many flushes if any in his river range so if we look like Qx and he cant have flushes its a fold

hmmm if he's doing it with AK more than 25% of the time it's a call, which he probably isn't...
but who cares about river, im leading flop 4 ways, or definitely check raising flop

your line is so incredibly weak he can have bluffs like j10/910 + the odd BD flush so you just can't fold.
Family Cruise IMO
