Opponent is BabyHoss555
He runs 22/17 with a 6.5% 3-bet.
I think he's too solid for his own good. Seen him fold quite often in big pots. Looking back at our history, I've never gotten all the money in against him before.

The game is playing a little TAggy, so the pre-flop aggression may be ramped up a tad.

UTG ($187.10)
Hero ($378.00)
CO ($52.05)
BTN ($280.75)
SB ($549.85)
BB ($202.00)

Pre-flop: ($3, 6 players) Hero is UTG+1
1 fold, Hero raises to $6, CO calls $6, 1 fold, SB raises to $28, 1 fold, Hero calls $22, CO folds

Flop: ($64, 2 players)
SB bets $30, Hero????

Are we getting it in on the flop or peeling a clean turn?

meh I just get it in now. There's lots of turns I'm not loving (but also not folding) and he'll call with worse if we raise the flop.

I don't think he's stacking off here with AA/AQ. I've never seen him get his money in bad.

I think a flop raise is only getting action from AK/KK/QQ/TT. I think he flats his suited broadways other than AK/AQ.

call. the plan shouldnt be to jam a safe turn really. should be more like call again and fold river if he shoves if two blanks arrive or value bet if checked to.
My bankroll is the amount of money I would spend or lose before I got a job. It is calculated by adding my net worth to whatever I can borrow.

i played a hand very similar to this against ISF a while back, only difference was i was oop. i ended up c/c 3 streets, reason was because u cant get action from worse hands besides TT ... even TT is not going to like putting a ton of money in the pot here. I would flat the flop, flat any turn bet that wasn't ridiculously big if turn is A/K/9, or value bet if checked to. it's a pretty tough spot, but your hand just doesn't have as much value as you might think at first glance. I really just don't want to get the money in in this spot.

I just couldn't muster up a turn call.

Usually when I stove hands like this I get results that tell me I was silly for thinking of calling/folding a set. The stove results against the range I get action against had me surprisingly behind.

No way he folds AA/KK/AQ to one raise on the flop. I definetely raise the flop. Make it like 80.
