Villain is 31/24, pretty Laggy and decent. He three-bets fairly light and bluff raises a ton of flops. Earlier I 3 bet bluffed him on a K high flop and he folded (I didn't show though). I've definitely gotten the best of him so far this session. Anyways on to the hand. I'm playing like a fairly tame 20/15 game in the session 7 tabling, he is on a couple tables of mine and views me as Tag. I think I can get him to lay down TT/JJ and possibly but probably not QQ, obviously sets / AA/KK aren't going anywhere, but even then I'll have 6 outs for the win and I think the majority of his range is air and I'll take it down easily. Thoughts?

seems omg wtf standard

Theres really no line you can take that doesn't turn your hand into a bluff. A common line is check/call flop, 1/2 pot turn and fold to a shove, but this looks pretty weak and probably isn't optimal vs said villain. Donkbetting the flop also sucks.

I like the idea of check/raise semi bluffing their, but what do you think of just c/r all in, or maybe to 80?
120 comitts you if he comes over the top, but if he just calls you're kinda forced to check/fold the turn.

I don't like playing this hand past the flop at all. Weren't you playing for a set? You don't have to semi-bluff this flop, and i don't think the villan here is laying down his overpair anyway.

If you were in position it might be easier to play this hand. But since you're not, i think you should just fold on the flop. You only have 6 outs.

i don't think so

Vs this villain, you have to play 99 for overpair value.

If I thought the majority of his range included overpairs, obviously I would not make this move.

this post is interesting because it basically means that if you have an overpair vs a lagg in a reraised pot you pretty much can't get away if you are out of position, regardless of how weak the overpair is. You are mentioning the gutshot, but would it really make much difference if the flop was 874?

I was just thinking if the turn goes check-check, and the river is a blank then 99 is prob best.
but then I wonder what would a decent lag usually do with AK/22/67s if you check/call the flop and check again on a blank turn with like a psb left in stacks?

I like it. Also consider 4-betting pf as well, although I tend to like calling better.
