So I've been working on reads and bluffing. What do you think of this logic and line?

I've been tag, hadn't played a hand in a couple orbits, and haven't played in a big pot yet but have been aggro in small ones. It's possible I was seen leading a draw on the flop like this before but I'm not sure.

pre flop I was trying to steal the blinds since I knew they were tight (CO was new to the table, and button seemed slag). It's rare I raise this hand in that position, but thought I'd try, and figured at worst it will help me get better at post flop even if I'm called.

Then the flop was an insta min raise...so I figured an unbelieving pp lower then tens, or maybe a str8 draw or bluff...and not likely a flush draw since I had that, not many call with 2x pre flop, and trips or a boat take more time to decide.

Pre-flop: (5 players) benny999 is UTG with 8 J
benny999 raises to $4, CO calls, 3 folds.

Flop: 2 5 5 ($9.5, 2 players)
benny999 bets $8, CO raises to $16, benny999 calls.

Turn: 2 ($41.5, 2 players)
benny999 bets $28, CO...

If he calls he has 1/2 the pot left in his stack.

I only see him folding here with complete air, with that deuce on the turn. I don't really like this play on this board. The only thing you could be repping is a high PP, which I don't think this guy is buying. I could be wrong though.

I like preflop and the flop but the turn is bad. If he has a 5 or 2 he isn't raising the turn and are you going to lead for the rest of his stack on the river? I think he has a 5 or overpair he's not folding often enough for this to not be profitable. Sure you can suck out an overpair but he may just push an overpair anyways but I think a 5 makes up a large part of his range.

You don't want to be raised with your 12-15 out draw on the turn.

I like a flop push, it's 66-99/air a lot.

Yea...pushing the flop sounds much better. I was confident he had 66-99/air since it was an INSTA min raise. NLHE lahooozaher - don't you think a 5 would take longer to decide what to do?

I was doing the line I would with TT+, but that usually gets paid off for at least two barells on that sort of board, which is good if I have it but bad if I'm trying to use it as a bluff with someone I have no history with.
