Felt like completing this for some reason. Action on river?

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (4 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

saw flop|saw showdown

UTG ($48.55)
Button ($48.31)
Hero ($52)
BB ($50.50)

Preflop: Hero is SB with 4, 5. Hero posts a blind of $0.25.
1 fold, Button calls $0.50, Hero (poster) completes, BB checks.

Flop: ($1.50) 4, 2, 5 (3 players)
Hero bets $1, BB folds, Button calls $1.

Turn: ($3.50) 4 (2 players)
Hero checks, Button bets $4, Hero calls $4.

River: ($11.50) A (2 players)
Hero ???

Why didn't you c/r the turn? Or simply lead again? Can't really get tricky with a strong hand OOP because he can always check behind..

I didn't want to lead the turn b/c if he's drawing I likely blow him off his hand. If I c/r, same thing.

Ya, woulda worked. We got there anyway, but I don't like that I gave him the chance to fold/call when the b/d completes...

River: ($11.50) A (2 players)
Hero bets $7, Button raises to $14, Hero calls $51.75 (All-In), Button calls $48.31 (All-In).

Final Pot: $132.56

Results in white below:
Hero has 4c 5d (full house, fours full of fives).
Button has 3s Ks (straight, five high).
Outcome: Hero wins $129. Button wins $3.56.

Yeah, the river-passive folks I play with will mostly just call with any hand worse than a full house if bet into on the river.

I'm not sure u shouldn't c/r the turn or just lead. At 50nl i don't think anyone is folding a draw and u have to build a pot.
Check out the new blog!!!

How does leading the turn blow him off of a draw?

I don't like the turn at all tho. Seems like you are checking because you have a monster but don't really have a plan for getting the money in. c/r river is good.

I didn't supply reads but he struck me as a bit tight/passive. I don't pigeonhole players by stakes. There's some pretty decent opps at 50NL.

By giving him bad odds to chase? My read was that he was capable of folding. It's an unraised pot so anything (i.e. a 4) is in my range and the board is paired. But...

...I like that. My usual would be 2/3-3/4 but 1/2 makes more sense here.

My plan was to hope he caught a piece. You're right though, I executed badly.
