I’m too tired to tell just how good/bad this is right now so figured I’d slap it on the forum

Villain is an aggro reg, not the best but def not the worst. Something like 29/20/3 and we have history of playing lots of big pots ; I’ve definitely bluffed this spot before, but I’ve also stacked him a couple times with the nuts.

River is ¾ of a buyin more for him to call. He INSTA bet fwiw. This might make the play really good or bad based on what we think the quick action means…

Seat 1: Jon040124 (£500.35 in chips)
Seat 2: Chavinder (£99.75 in chips)
Seat 3: eothain1 (£30.32 in chips)
Seat 4: HERO (£314.05 in chips)
Seat 5: Vacum (£81.49 in chips)
Seat 6: goalshow2 (£211.75 in chips)
eothain1: posts small blind £1
HERO: posts big blind £2
----- HOLE CARDS -----
dealt to HERO
Vacum: folds
goalshow2: folds
Jon040124: raises to £7
Chavinder: folds
eothain1: folds
HERO: calls £5
----- FLOP -----
HERO: bets £14
Jon040124: calls £14
----- TURN -----
HERO: bets £41
Jon040124: calls £41
----- RIVER -----
HERO: checks
Jon040124: bets £100
HERO: raises to £252.05 and is all-in
when the vpip's are high and the value bets are like razors, who can be safe?

What are you putting him on?

Not a big fan of your flop donk on an action flop like this. It just screams weakness.

I like a c/r or c/c.

huh?

what flops do you guys like leading?

fwiw my flop leading range here is all monsters and air... this time i have a monster

if i cr and get called, I feel like the turn doesn't play so well - I'm hoping to get raised on this flop and gambool.

My question was mainly the river...

Yeah I'm confused too, I think it looks weak if people donk out on a 822 rainbow flop, but when we donk out this flop it looks pretty strong because there's tons of hands we can credibly represent, including straights, TT, KQ, and combo draws.

I don't really get the river, do you think he's going for thin value with AQ or something? So easy for him to have trips here.

I just feel like your average player is cbetting this flop 99% of the time so if you have a big hand you're losing a little value from underpairs and sc's by donking. And c/r'ing gets more money in the pot when it's big hand vs. big hand.

But admittedly, I'm an infrequent donkbettor.

I prefer a c/r but more for fold equity reasons (immediately or on any turn) than to build a pot.

Don't ever bluff this guy. If you think he's even thinking of folding a K or even AQ for that matter, lol

C/r is good to use ppl's aggression against them, and it could be the right play on flop or turn against this nutso. But doing it on the river against him is burning money.

edit: Unless u have some reads that he raises donkbets a lot or something, but I don't think he does it if he has like AQ/AK here. Much prefer a c/c or c/r too.
Nine to five is how to survive - I ain't trying to survive / I'm trying to live it to the limit and love it a lot //

Can offer RB deals on most sites, PM me.

Numbr2intheWorld will become famous soon enough
i don't think this is bad as long as you think he's capable of making a semi big fold sometimes

Why did you choose to c/r him (at which point he's even more committed) as opposed to firing a third barrel?

I think I prefer barreling to c/r'ing.

I agree with Alex, he's not folding here and he's getting too good odds I think. I'd only do this deeper, but with stacks I'd barrel or give up, pending on my read.

i didn t barrel cuz all the big draws missed so if he were looking to call me down with AQ or Kx I don t see him folding

My problem was i didn t see him having a boat and I thought anybody who can read hands would have to put me on tens full or KQ and fold AK KJ
