I played some rush poker today together with a friend of mine, it went pretty well so we ended up playing most of it at .5/1. These are some hands we were in disagreement over, I have no HHs but hope I can describe them accurately.

1. Preflop madness
UTG $92
UTG+1
Hero (CO) $110
button
SB $150
BB $200

UTG raises to $3.5, fold, Hero raises to $13 with AKo, fold, SB calls $13, BB calls $13, UTG goes allin, hero?

Probably shove, or can we fold? What do we think of their ranges?

2. Flopped full
Effective stacks $160
UTG+1 raises to $4, Hero (button) calls with 99, rest fold
Flop: 977r (pot $9.5)
UTG+1 bets $6, hero?

Best way to get value here.. raise to like $15 because it'll appear bluffy, or just call?

3. Calling 3bets
Effective stacks $130
Hero (CO) raises to $3.5 with 9d7d, SB raises to $13, hero calls $13..

spew?

4. TPTK
Hero (CO) $350
SB $115
Hero raises to $3.5 with AKo, SB raises to $11, folds, hero calls $11.
Flop: AJ7r (pot $23)
SB bets $15, hero calls $15
Turn: 3 (pot $53) second club
SB bets $37, Hero? ($89 effective behind)

Do we shove (or call perhaps) because we pretty much hit what we were hoping for in a RR pot? Villain seems to be value-betting though. Or can we make a nitty fold because the J worries us and with no draws not sure how many hands we beat?

1. Stove it. Preflop, boring, didn't read.

2. Obviously call.

3. Depends on villain. Without reads severe spew.

4. Shoving and calling are both decent. Would just call because of dry flop. Hard to do anything very creative (like folding) without reads.

These seem pretty straightforward.

Hand 1 : How do you feel about variance? Doesn't really matter what you do here longterm, shove or fold. I would probably always be shoving here with dead money out there.

hand 2. Just call and bet turn when checked to i guess...you can't really go wrong and without a read or history that villain might spew if you raise the flop small slowplaying is best.

hand 3. yeah fold or 4-bet pre to an unkown.

hand 4. I'd be 4-betting this pre, but as played I kind of like just calling him down here and obv betting river if checked to. Don't see any reason to raise postflop, he'll be valuetowning himself with aq regardless.

Rush so no reads (except for one guy that was showing up all the time, must have been super multi-tabling it) And yeah this is also what I said but my friend insists to call these with suited connectors/gappers. I have to say though, here we weren't deep enough but rush poker seems to be the return of deepstacked poker so there should be some cut-off of stack size where this becomes a good call..

What happened was I shoved and UTG had 88, and BB decided to call behind with Q9s (wtf?).. but this hardly seems representational and I wasn't sure what ranges to put them on, or can we just assume that the blinds will be weak and hence UTG will be shoving lighter than we would otherwise expect? (this hand might be more interesting if I had AQ)

I don't see what we are beating besides AQ though, of the hands that would valuetown here. Probably just being results-oriented because I shoved and he had AJ.

For hand 1, I think we can widen UTG just a tad but he is still probably expecting action here so I'd say something like JJ+. The blinds almost always have garbage with the top of their range like 77-JJ along with stuff like AQ and AJs. I think it'd be an easy fold with AQ though because utg has AK a ton.

Hand 1: I'd call, note that SB and BB are retards regardless of what they have.

Hand 2: Without history, just call.

Hand 3: Fold

Hand 4: 4-bet pre, this is button vs. blinds and you are near the top of your wide range, obviously.
