Hand 1). Villain is a weak TAG. If he had an Ace i am pretty sure he would raise the turn.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $2 BB (6 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

UTG ($207.25)
MP ($301.40)
CO ($254.75)
Button ($371.80)
Hero ($195)
BB ($128.60)

Preflop: Hero is SB with 9, 9.
4 folds, Hero raises to $8, BB calls $6.

Flop: ($16) A, 8, 7 (2 players)
Hero checks, BB bets $6, Hero calls $6.

Turn: ($28) A (2 players)
Hero bets $20, BB calls $20.

River: ($68) J (2 players)
Hero bets $54

Hand 2). Villain is a weak LAG. He probably thinks i am trying to win every pot, and has called me down light in some smaller pots. I had won several small pots uncontested prior to this hand. I know this villain would raise the turn with two pair.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $2 BB (3 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver Cards)

Button ($278.05)
Hero ($201)
BB ($328.30)

Preflop: Hero is SB with , .
1 fold, Hero raises to $8, BB calls $6.

Flop: ($16) , , (2 players)
Hero bets $12, BB calls $12.

Turn: ($40) (2 players)
Hero bets $30, BB calls $30.

River: ($100) (2 players)
Hero bets $72

Ya, the converter does that to me too.

In hand 1 I really dont like the check call on the flop. You are OOP and a check call accomplishes nothing in defining your opponents hand. Either cbet or check raise. The check call and being oop makes this hand tough to play now. Is that river bet for value or a blocking bet? After turn call, i probly go into check fold, or check call small bet. Maybee a small river blocking bet (read dependant) but I doubt your getting called with worse very often.

I think hand 2 is playd fine. If he has been calling down light. Valuetown it.

also i should add, the way you played the first hand is really weird, so i think it can be so confusing to villian he calls down with 76 or something just to see what u have

I don't mind hand 1 it just sux that he prob called with

Hand 2 would be criminal not to bet river imo. NH.
when the vpip's are high and the value bets are like razors, who can be safe?

1) The J is a really bad card for you to bet on, it completes 9T, JhXh combo draws, etc.. I prefer a river check at 200nl i dont think he'll call with worse, plus you may be beat

2)very std
Nine to five is how to survive - I ain't trying to survive / I'm trying to live it to the limit and love it a lot //

Can offer RB deals on most sites, PM me.

I am okay with how i played hand 1 up until the river. But i think that the Jack was a much worse card than i had thought (it might scare away some of the one pair hands that may have called my turn bet, in addition to possibly having paired them again).

Glad hand 2 got a thumbs up!

is 9-9 weak enough to bet/fold the flop with in hand 1?
