River shove bluffs are not really part of my repertoire and I've decided to add them. I thought the risk-reward justified it here. I'd only played a few hands with the guy, but he was 30/20/2. Was it a good spot or not?

 Why are you shoving? I really don't get why you waste 100 when you can accomplish the same thing for like 22. I would say that's not an ideal board to bluff on especially if you wait till the river.

A PSB here looks like a rivered straight. V's line looks like a mid pair. It could be TT, so there's at least one hand in V's range that snap calls us. I like a pot sized bet more than a shove because we lose less when V does have a T.

Without developing some kind of read on the villain, this type of move can be pretty insane.

I don't like the way you played any street really. If you are playing 35s this poorly when you hit one of the best possible flops for it, I'd recommend taking it out of your overcalling range oop. Probably shouldn't be calling this at all from the blinds. I know I'm a loser when I do it, so I don't. If you are planning on making a call like this pre, you have to be planning on making moves on particular boards that don't help you for the preflop play to be profitable. The types of moves I'm talking about are, for example ... Assume the preflop play was the same, and flop came 984cc and it checked around. Turn Ac, (pot 13$) lead out for 12$ making it look like you missed a c/r on the flop w/ your FD and now think your call is going to get paid off by an ace.

That's just one example of a spot where you can make a move.

When you flop this big, you really have to make some attempt at an aggressive play. Just checking and calling destroys the equity of your hand and guarantees you win the least when improving (unless you hit one of the 2 remaining treys). This hand is strong enough on it's own to get all in on the flop so I'd do whatever I could to try to pump the pot.

After you c/c the flop and the turn checks through, open shove for over 3x pot? This is super spew and it's not good poker at all. Basically you are saying "I hope you don't have a hand strong enough to call and don't realize that my play makes no sense".... I'd definitely not every do anything like this, I think it's burning money.

Fold preflop:
o Your hand sucks
o Your relative position isn't that good
o Your absolute position is terrible
o There are 2 players to act after you call who may re-open the betting.

That said I think $20 works here too. But if you have the right image and would push for value I like it.

Thanks for feedback guys. I'm trying to make my image a little more aggressive. I' like to get paid off when I do have a hand on a board like this. But it may be too expensive for me to develop this image, since I don't play the same people over and over again.

This and generally people will make assumptions about your big pot play based on your smaller pot play. Open more hands, float, stab, etc. Get caught bluffing a few times and most people will stop folding medium strong hands against you and will be more inclined to flip the spew bit.
