So I get 99, I raise it up while thinking "I hope I flop top set and the other guy a lower set so I can stack him". Lo and behold I do flop top set, and going with the plan I bet the pot, and to my surprise he calls. Hm, he must have hit a set too (people were folding a lot in general). I bet the turn again, and he calls. I put him on 88 by now. River brings the second 8 on the board, and he open pushes.. can I go by my read and fold this??

Wait, what? You want to fold? Why? Surely he has more of a range than 88 here. Also it's not like you're facing some huge overbet. He's betting pot and you don't think you're good 1/3 times here? You're good way more often than that. I bet more on the turn to.
