No reads. Tried to rep the flush on the turn to take it down. Didn't work and I missed my draw on the river, so I tried to continue the rep. I had $100 behind and was trying to decide if pushing would be more convincing, but I decided on $60.

Comments/criticisms?

I think your line is awesome vs. generic 100NL opponents (semi-loose semi-bad not TAG but not totally retarded) if you do have a flush! As it is, I think you've just induced a crying call from AA or so - 3.6:1 on the call, he's gonna make up a reason to call.

Vs. really smart thinkers I think this is nice though.

What worries me is that he may have the Ac.

It should be clear from the betting so far that this guy is really retarded. Juding by his stack size I don't like your chances because he probably didn't get 230bb by folding to big bets. I really hate your turn raise size against this guy. He's making a huge mistake with his small bets and you should be playing this hand very straight forward then check/raising his pants off when you hit.

Some basic terrible player hand reading.

Pre-flop he has two sexy cards and wants to build a pot because he's unaware of position. Figure something like a pair or a couple broadways. The repeat turn bet into a scary turn SCREAMS one pair. The rub here is that you're going to have to seriously threaten his stack to even have a chance to get him to laydown. Dinky implied threat raises on an obvious scare card aren't going to get it done. You really need to follow through or just take the value he handed you with his terrible turn bet.

This really looks like AQ or better. I think I would like it a lot more if your turn raise didn't suck. Also, what's with the call PF? Do you always call with J10os OOP?

I think you should raise more on the turn. Your raise isn't big enough for him to fold, esp if he has a 1-card flush draw. strfldr on turn, no need to be shy.

cpl things

first ur preflop call is going to be -ev for you, though you should call JTo in the BB to an UTG min raiser. ur second preflop call is good tho against typical opp.

flop play is kind of close but since u r deep i like ur call.

turn play is well thought out but ultimately going to kill you in these type of games- and if u decide to continue with your hand c/r is by far ur worst option. just look at ur equity against different types of hands

1. AK unimproved or JJish hands no club- usually check turn but fold to your checkraise (and r already ahead of you)

2. AQ+ with or without club- r never ever folding no matter what you do and r likely betting the turn sometimes smallish to wrongly entice calls from weaker holdings.

3. monsters- raising/calling and shoving river

4. air, may bet/fold turn.

against 2,3 ur checkraise achieves no FE and against 1,4 they fold. I think ur significantly better off leading for 32ish in this spot as we have str8 and flushdraw and can profitably shove either if we hit as well as get the same better hands to fold and keep our range wider.

fwiw i think its wishful thinking to try to get group 2 hands to fold with any turn/river bet combo.

No, but it's in their range. It usually just means someone who sucks at poker has two pretty cards.
