Unless you play a 7 that way, jeff can put you on a pocket pair. If he's got a decent one, you're getting felted, otherwise you'll take it down. I still have issues with the risk v reward.
<Staxalax> Honestly, #flopturnriver is the one thing that has improved my game the most.

c/r is the worse thing you can do, c/c c/f and lead are all better.

not many people play a 7 like that and i doubt he thinks you would.

Also, what do you put him on after he calls your minraise?

Seems to me 89s and J10 are there some of the time and both just connected. He's not calling you w big overs, right? Has there been any crazy shit between the two of you so far?
when the vpip's are high and the value bets are like razors, who can be safe?

Playing a 7 like this against someone I know will bet the flop would not be that unusual for me at least, I'd do a mix of betting out and c/r with a 7. With your hand c/c or bet out flop, but a bluff c/r can be done with any hand after all. Probably betting turn a little more though, but that's details.

I think you're range is too small. If Jeff puts him on a small pocket pair, he's correct to call with a very wide range, because he has outs and a lot of fold equity later on if he chooses to get nasty.
It's not what's inside that counts. Have you seen what's inside?
Internal organs. And they're getting uglier by the minute.

Haven't seen enough of his NLHE play to comment other than the fact he's a strong enough SH hand reader to be capable of looking you up. It's just a matter of him being callous/confident enough to follow through.

Rondavu I just mentioned those two hands are there "some of the time".

Also, what other hands is he getting correct odds to call with? Overs are about 7-1 to hit and he's getting 3-1 to hit. I don't think Renton will stack off if the turn brings and A/K/Q...

I thought I remembered that name from somewhere lol. Also, who is PBnJtime? I didnt sit at his table last night because I thought he was an FTRer.

Had I known it was you, I definately wouldn't be folding any pair, as your check/raise doesn't really scare me. I think as soon as I called your raise, you should have realized you were beat and just check/folded the turn.

Since I didn't know it was you, I'm just going to let you keep betting into me, as my stats on you are a nitty 19/11. There is no way you call with A7 here in the small blind and facing my raise, if anything I put you on a 6 or other smaller pair, and frankly, pretty much drawing dead to my hand. If you have 87 here I'd pay you. I figured you wouldn't have called a raise without the 7 or boat anyway, so that has zero value.

I might have to change my screenname now!!

Been there, done that. When they know who you are and you don't know they know, it's probably an even bigger problem in NLHE.

Thinking about moving to the Party 200 short game anyway.

i didn't realize it was you until after the hand, i played it like i'd normally play against a donkey with a missed hand. Line usually works against them.

Of course, no one is laying down Kings there

i used to think this, but now i dont mind giving out my screenname. it seems like TAGs (mostly just some 2p2ers i talk to on occasion) still give me plenty of action because they think im making moves on them alot more than i am.
