50NL, 100bb deep

Folded to me OTB, I PFR 4x with , a nitty TAG 3bets to 13bb total in BB, I call

Flop comes

He checks, I check behind

Turn comes

He bets 15bbs, I call

River comes

He bets 30bbs and it really feels like I'm up against solely AA here. Can I ever be justified in flatting?

Your hand is so underrepped, and he could easily have AT-AK. Shove.

So how nitty does nitty tag mean in regards to his 3betting range?
Is folding pre considerable?

If I don't know anything of him I would bet the flop. People do all these weird things, so if there's a chance he'll be c-ring the flop I take it. Also people know they turn their hand face up when checking, so it's more likely you get money from him (usually max 2 streets) if you put maximum pressure on them then immediately.

Also he's snapping a river shove with 8x IF he 3bets it's and I guess his postflop line sort of makes 8x possible.

Shove it in there; only two hands beat you and there are only 4 combinations of cards that give him that. Take your lumps if he has AA or 88. In Omaha, you could flat call here (maybe even fold in some situations), but in holdem you don't get hands this good very often and it would be a cosmic joke if you got it the one time someone could beat you.

obv shove river.

also 4xb steal? vs nits at most it should be 3xbb, 2xbb if u can get away with it.

also fold to 3bet imo.

wow.. what?

Flop check tilts my life... he never has air.. BETTTT.

As played, omg jam. How do you figure this is only AA? Why can't this be a weirdly played AK/AQ .. esp vs a nit, I wouldn't be surprised if they played AQ/AK like this post.

But thats irrelevant.. this should have been 10bb flop, 25bbs turn, river jam. Done.

Thanks for the responses guys.

I posted this thread because when he bet on the river I had one of those weird instinctive soulread moments where I was semicertain he had exactly AA, however I overrode it because I felt that doing anything other than shoving would be really irrational. He had AA but that's besides the point.

I'm glad you guys think I was right to trust my brain and shove.

RE: Flop check, thanks, I realise how retarded that check is now.

Thanks Galapogos. FMP.

And to add insult to injury, I'll also say that checking the flop is NOWHERE NEAR as bad as everyone says. I even think it's the most +EV play, except that it's totally gutless.

Let's refresh your memory a little bit Rav.

Here OP wants to CALL against a NIT with THIRD NUTS because FOUR COMBOS (of which three make PERFECT sense) could beat him.

You wanted to FOLD the SECOND nuts because ONE SINGLE DISCOUNTED COMBO COULD BEAT YOU!

Just felt like I had to call you out on that one, sorry buddy
