Is it possible to get rakeback on an existing stars account?? Also is it worth me trying - currently playing 10NL, just moving up to 25NL. Cheers.

If you get to silver star you can get a $50 bonus. It looks like it takes ~3ok hands to get there. You're not going to make much from rakeback anywhere at microstakes

Just a tip, play at absolute poker. They got 30% rakeback, SUPEREASY games (this advices is for NL10 and NL25 only).

And to give you an idea about the 30% rakeback, at NL10 i made 100$ after 23k hands, which is 10 buyins and yeah.. pretty sweet

It's a long story, but suffice it to say that they are dishonest businessmen. When it comes to selecting a poker room, integrity is the #1 criteria, and AP fails miserably in that regard.

Superuser.

Cliff notes.

Some guy high up in company reproggamed/put a trogan in the software that sent the cards back to them and then won several hundred K before being caught. Highly suspected of it being a cover-up, though it's unlikely it was a true inside job (ie. the CEO didn't know). Basically I would steer clear, they're a shady business.

edit: to clarify AP sent all the money back but still it took them forever to admit there was a problem and a better investigation was conducted on 2p2 that in the company with less information available.
3k post - Return of the blog!

unless you were a dumb noob when you signed up at full tilt and you thought it would be way better to get a free copy of PT instead of getting rakeback. Then stars would be the best choice regardless.

i still want to slap myself for doing that.
