This may be stupid but anyway. It's 5-max. There is one guy who is 50/3 LPAS. Another is 22/16 decent TAG. That's all we know about them. Would I rather have position on the loose player or the aggressive player. I can see arguments for both but I don't know what weighs more.

I take position on the better player
I would assume the 22/16 would be better but the 50/3 could give you more trouble. I have no problem giving position to the nit (16/12) and taking position on the Lagg (40/25).
A lot of it comes down to Aggression Factors as well, I'd want position on the more aggressive player.

I always like the TAG to my right. It's so much easier to put them on hand ranges. A 50/3 will often call my preflop raises and folds to c/bets if not hit. A moneybag!

I find I get more play from the action when I give him a chance to start putting money in the pot before I enter it. Also, if he folds I can adjust.

What he said. A 50/3 won't 3-bet you light and the TAG to your right is going to fold often enough. If you have it the other way round a good TAG would 3-bet often to isolate the 50/3 type of guys and I would be piggy in the middle.

im acting after the lagg most often and before the tagg. Taggs play predictable ranges and when they raise they arent FOS or overplaying a pair of sevens in a reraised pot, whereas we want position on the bad player to isolate and destroy.

i'd rather sit in front of the bad players to play more pots with them, plus what miffed and fnord wrote.

I give position to the TAG. taking advantage of them take more positional play. if he's a 50/3, your gonna probably just be value betting into him a lot, and you can do that from any position.
examples:
playing the loosey goosey in position, hands go like this:
he checks, you call
he checks, you call
he checks, you call
you out of position:
you bet, he calls
you bet, he calls
you bet, he calls
w/ the TAG, you can beat him too if your good enough at postflop play w/ position, while the other you should be able to beat regardless

I want position on the guy who understands position and will bow to the pressure of position. Getting the fishies money will be easy enough, i want both stacks.
But seriously, too many times I have had to fight the good Tagg or Lagg from inferior position, trying to get the loose player Isolated. Nothing worse than getting Three bet light when trying to Isolate the fish on your right and having the Aggro Tag on the left trying to do the same thing.

I hate playing loose passives OOP. Incredibly hard for me to extract value. I also get cold called a lot and with him playing virtually any two, I probably end up c/f'ng too much when I miss.
