Reviewing my hands... I'm seeing myself doing this quite often..
BOBBLEHEAD - Posts small blind $0.50
STEVEIEJAY - Posts big blind $1
*** POCKET CARDS ***
Dealt to EUPHOLOGI [7 5 ]
WINTERHAWK7 - Folds
IMBUSTO - Raises $3 to $3
EUPHOLOGI - Calls $3
Horribly spewy? I never did this at 50NL, and under the guise of "opening my game" I think I'm cold calling too much.
BOBBLEHEAD - Folds
STEVEIEJAY - Calls $2
*** FLOP *** [6 3 9 ]
STEVEIEJAY - Checks
IMBUSTO - Checks
EUPHOLOGI - Bets $7
Standard?
STEVEIEJAY - Calls $7
IMBUSTO - Folds
*** TURN *** [6c 3s 9s] [J ]
STEVEIEJAY - Checks
EUPHOLOGI - Checks
Standard.
*** RIVER *** [6c 3s 9s Jh] [8 ]
STEVEIEJAY - Bets $12
EUPHOLOGI - Calls $12
Crappy card, don't see any reason to raise.

It's hard to throw away anything playable on the button.
I would usually bet this flop with 8 straight outs. If you only had 4, I might just check through and bet turn if checked to.
Turn, whatever he has it's got to beat you in a showdown, and unlikely you will bluff him off.
River is fine. Would you call if the river was the 7s?

I think I am more likely to bet with 4 straight outs when action goes check/check to me on the flop with a 2 flush board...
