I don't get the c/r? You couldn't have possibly been doing this for value, and you obv thought he had air and would fold.

Why not just barrel river then?

4-bet shoved you mean right?

Did you have a particular read here? Did you put him on AQ/QT or something?

fwiw I was just check-giving up in the OP since the guy seemed fishy enough to call with K or Q high.

Then when he bet so big it looked 100% like a bluff since he insta-bet pot and I think he would've considered his options with a slowplayed 3 and an 8 is so unlikely so I shoved expecting him to fold a crappy straight draw or weird JTs hand with a flushdraw.

My head exploded a bit when he SNAP-called and mucked.

ISF I'm pretty sure I had already seen the 47 hand. The play itself + chat def makes it a huge candidate for hand of the year.

Has anybody ever seen the UFC fight between Heath Herring and Minotauro? (Nogueira).

When Herring rocks Minotauro with a giant leg-kick then lets him get up rather than pounding him out and finishing the fight, colour commentator Joe Rogan's play-by-play goes something like "What a HUGE mistake by Herring. Wow... Wow... (10 second pause) JUST WOW." (linky : around 6:20 mark of http://youtube.com/watch?v=_IhwWn1MmRk )

That's kind of my reaction to the 47 hand.

I dont know if this is truely worthy of being in here, but in case it is:

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (6 handed) Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

CO ($46)
Hero ($40.25)
SB ($75.85)
BB ($27.30)
UTG ($10.50)
MP ($31.95)

Preflop: Hero is Button with 5, 4.
UTG calls $0.25, 2 folds, Hero raises to $1.25, SB calls $1.15, 1 fold, UTG calls $1.

Flop: ($4) 7, 5, 7 (3 players)
SB bets $4.25, UTG folds, Hero calls $4.25.

Turn: ($12.50) A (2 players)
SB checks, Hero checks.

River: ($12.50) 6 (2 players)

Meh, converter seems to be messed up. Villain bets full pot, I shove and then he folds.

Obviously everything from the flop on is expected but that preflop... wow. I need to get a bankroll together so I can play against that guy.

This would be pretty easy and almost standard with the Ax of spades but with K hi it felt a little dirty

Villain was a pretty strong lag whose range is usually polarized when donking this flop to boats, 6x and draws

The deciding factor was that riv was one of the quickest shoves I’ve ever seen. Didn’t make sense since a 6 would’ve def thought about me making top boat. Lucky for me I didn’t put him on quadzillas. Deciding factor was that A hi usually has 2 much showdown value to overbet shove this riv since I can have so many whiffed draws.

Table "Bahar" Seat 2 is the button.
Seat 1: HERO ($654.35 in chips)
Seat 2: StenTril ($256.45 in chips)
Seat 3: Villain ($201 in chips)
Seat 4: Dunyamum ($78.05 in chips)
Seat 5: fresh ($206 in chips)
Seat 6: myggan ($224 in chips)
Villain: posts small blind $1
Dunyamum: posts big blind $2
----- HOLE CARDS -----
dealt to HERO
fresh: folds
myggan: folds
HERO: raises to $7
StenTril: folds
Villain: calls $6
Dunyamum: folds
----- FLOP -----
Villain: bets $12
HERO: calls $12
----- TURN -----
Villain: bets $32
HERO: calls $32
----- RIVER -----
Villain: bets $150 and is all-in
HERO: calls $150
----- SHOW DOWN -----
Villain: shows (Two Pairs, Sevens and Sixes, Nine high)
HERO: shows (Two Pairs, Sevens and Sixes, King high)
HERO collected $401 from Main pot

More of a brag than a HOY but whatever shipteh$imo
