Do you give these guys any respect? I pretty much have a complete disregard for chips when playing shortstacks and I'm ready to felt almost any pair against them. Is this bad?

Shorties are tough to deal with sometimes - I have trouble with them because I don't respect them much like yourself.

Pot the last hand and call chapel's push. Other two I guess are fine.

My rule of thumb is if a shorty makes a bet and leaves not much behind they want a call. If they push, there is more of a chance they are bluffing.

1) I don't think you're ahead alot but I don't want to fold.

2) He'll flop AJ here alot.

3) Here I check, but ony because Butter is in the hand and what I don't want is to bet, have shorty push and then Butter call.

Without butter in the hand I just go all in

Hand 1: Fold

Hand 2: Standard

Hand 3: I usually would bet these raggedy flop here. You likely have the best hand. If it was J97 I'd definitely check.

Hand1: I guess I fold flop? Seems nitty but if you say so.
Hand2: Against a deeper stack I def get away from this hand.
Hand3: My thinking was that the shorty was going to push if checked to him regardless of his cards. If I push he only calls if he has a pair so I thought check/calling was best. After I called and he showed a pair I questioned it because he did bet like $9 into a $6 pot.

my poker mentor suggested that i play as shortstack so that i can better understand how it's played. i am going to post about my experience shortstacking in a few weeks, after i've had a chance to get as good as one can get at doing it.
In answer to your question... it depends...

I don't know why, but your hands don't seem to be displaying properly for me. Oh well, hand 2 is clearly a bad beat as you only got dealt one hole card. Usually this is a fold for me, even against a shortstack.
