This happened at 50 NL yesterday. Villain and I both had full $50 stacks.
I was in the cutoff and raised for the umpteenth time. Basically I was lagging it up, and it was pretty obvious. So far I had only won about half the pots I had raised pre-flop (guys were calling and hitting more often than I would prefer). On this hand there was one limper, and I was starting to get more action anyway, so I raised the .50 blind to 2.50. The button, a loose and tricky player, called. The limper folded so just two of us went to the flop, with the pot at about 5.50.
The flop was :Tc: . I bet $3.00 and the villain min-raised to $6. I called.
The turn was the . I checked, villain fired out $14 into the $18 pot. I pushed for all the rest.
First - what hands do you put both of us on?
Second - I'll give you one piece of information here. Villain did not have a straight on the turn. That being the case, what do you think he would put me on, and should he call my push?

Pf this is hard.. you had a straight draw with QJ and he has the T or the 9? If he has the T he'll fold, if he has the 9 he'll call your push. Another scenario I'd put either of you on JT (most likely you). Dunno though.

given that you said you had been lagging it up, but have started to meet some resistance lately, I think you have a real hand here pf. 66+, ATs+, KQ+. villain has a slightly wider range since he probably doesnt know that youve adjusted to the changing table, 33+, A8s+, 56s+.
on the flop you bet just over half the pot, villain minraised, and you flat called, then checked the turn. all of this seems to scream weakness, so the CR push on the turn makes me think that you have a strong hand here. I think you may have hit your set, or are playing an overpair and think opp is on TP (+draw, maybe).
from opps point of view, you again raised pf, then fired out a c-bet. he calls pf, then raises (weakly) on the flop to see how much you like your hand/try to push you off, slow you down. he's checked to on the turn, it looks like it has worked, so he makes a 1/2 bet. he knows you have been playing a wide range, so this flop/turn may have helped you. the turn especially since it looks like it may have filled a draw. i think villain's play here (call vs fold) depends on how you have played post flop up until this point. if he has seen you semibluff with a push (or thought he saw you semibluff a push) or take this line with an underpair on a scary board, then I think the T (or 8) + a draw may call you here. if you have shut down after the flop with air, then he should probably fold his T, but call with the 9.

Well - I had JhQh. He had QTo and called. I found that a little surprising, but I guess he figured me for a stone cold bluff or something. After the flop and turn action I put him squarely on a pair of tens, or possibly trip nines, but I couldn't credit him for a boat with the way he had bet the hand. I was happy he paid me off with a weak holding and so few outs, and even happier when he missed.

Ah so my first guess was pretty much correct then. I'm surprised. However, with the T he shoulda laid it down like I said there..
