Lately it seems to me that every single time I get involved in a big blind battle, the villain has air. This post is going to suck because I don't really have anything coherent to say, I just wanted to ramble about some hands that I played and my thoughts about them afterwards.

I played 4 big blind battles today and in every single one of them I was shown air. #1 I double-barreled a flush draw and got raised huge on the turn, folded and got shown 6 high no pair no draw. #2 a guy min-raised my c-bet on a K-high flop, made a small bet on the turn and overbet shoved the river. He was a moron so I called him down with JJ and he had A high no pair no draw. #3 I bet flop and turn with top pair and got called, I checked river and he overbet shoved, I called and he had a missed gutshot. #4 I flopped a flush draw with over-cards on a low flop and a guy raised my c-bet, I shoved and he insta-folded.

This is probably just variance that I never actually ran into a hand, but I'd still like to talk about how we should adjust to people who are routinely getting way out of line in blind battles. Does this mean we should usually bet-3-bet the flop all-in with like a gutshot and a maybe-overcard because the guy who raised your c-bet is bluffing so often? If they're floating you instead of bluff-raising you, maybe bluff c/r the turn all-in? Maybe turn strong hands into bluff-catchers on the river because your opponent has air more often than not, and will bluff with it more than he'll pay off a value bet?
