I think HUDs are shady and should be banned.

Whaaaat? If a player without a HUD is paying attention to the table and the players at it a HUD offers no advantage. All it does is allow you to play more tables than you could normally play with the amount of info you can hold in your head on its own.
How is that shady if it offers no advantage to a player with a HUD vs a some guy playing as many tables as he should be playing at his optimum capacity without it.

Updating to the bet 1.19 or whatever worked for me. 1.18 had seating wrong. Use the Pokerstars HH option instead of that new memory thing that 1.18 added.

Did you even believe this while you were typing it? HUDs make it so much easier to put people on pre-flop ranges and while those ranges aren't always 100% accurate they sure help. I don't think anyone is able to play two tables (let alone eight) and remember precisely how often each player at the table has raised from which positions.
Basically I think all of the software tools that you have to pay for, present a significant barrier to new players entering the game and that's not a good thing. I for one am glad that Stars is banning public databases. Now of course people need to be able to keep a database of their own hands so they can study them when they're done with sessions. But I would prefer if the sites completely banned the use of software during play, and let people get their hand histories via e-mail once their session is over.
I've used software in the past so maybe this makes me a hypocrite, but what's best for multi-tabling low-limit players isn't necessarily what's best for the poker community as a whole.

I'm been using Gametime+ for about a year now. Link is on the Pokertracker forums. Is it worth shelling out the $25 to get PAHUD? I checked ou the PAHUD website and didn't see much to make me want to pay for a hud.

Some days it feels like I've been standing forever, waiting for the bank teller to return so I can cash in all these Sklansky Bucks.

good luck getting that wish granted.
btw, maybe you ought to join the PPA and get the US players/fish back into poker again like they were. that would be more profitable, and an easier fix.

LHE is a game where your skill keeps you breakeven until you hit your rush of random BS.
Nothing beats flopping quads while dropping a duece!

I used to play 4 tables without a HUD and did just fine, and I'm not an exceptionally bright guy/player. You don't need precise ranges to play well. As long as you pay attention you'll know how you should be playing your hands against certain people.

HUD's are insta ranges preflop so i dont understand why you wouldnt want to use one.
Yes, using one for postflop reads is kind of ridiculous but w/e its a tool that helps for sure.

HUDS allow people who play 15/11 to be profitable grinding 16 tables.
