SB is 25/22/2.3 over 550 hands, 3bets 9.7% and is pretty good overall. His 3betting is kind of distributed wierd, w/ 11% MP, 0% CO, only 5% button, 15%SB and 11% BB. BB is a pretty passive fish. I only have 25 hands on him, but hes done things fish do. I fold AK preflop less than chardrian gets pms, but ....

Bonus question: Without BB's action, should i be calling 150bbs deep and playing a flop vs SB?

Full Tilt No-Limit Hold'em, $2.00 BB (6 handed) - Full-Tilt Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

saw flop

BB ($67.45)
Hero (UTG) ($285)
MP ($226.50)
CO ($144.05)
Button ($49.05)
SB ($360)

Preflop: Hero is UTG with K, A
Hero bets $7, 3 folds, SB raises to $25, BB raises to $67.45 (All-In), Hero ????

I think calling or shoving both have a lot more downside than upside, mainly since the SB 3-bet your UTG raise. Call / folding is a waste, and moving in against the SB's A-A or K-K is also quite bad obviously. Plus, even if the SB ends up not having a big hand here, you can still end up losing a coinflip against the BB's 8-8 or whatever.

By the way, what does "3-bets 9.7%" mean? He actually 3-bets preflop one out of every ten hands, or does it mean something else? I wouldn't put too much faith in the numbers you have on the positions where the SB 3-bets, since you're probably dealing with a pretty small sample of 3-bettable hands.

9.7% basically rounds out to 1 out of 10 times when theres a raise before he acts he 3-bets. Takes a large sample of hands overall to get a good sample of those situations.

I think there are times you can fold AK, this feels like one.
Just playing to improve.

yeah it takes a big sample to really know someones 3betting tendencies, but even over 500 hands you get a pretty good idea. this guy def 3bets more than most.

I fold this. SB is not 3betting a loose range vs. your UTG raise if he is half as good as you indicate unless you've been playing too much out of UTG.
I think a generous range for SB here is AK, JJ+. With 3.5bb in and 150bb deep, EZ fold.
Playing live . . . thanks alot Bin Laden.

he's 3b way wider than that to "defend his blind"

iopq, i never stated this and its a pretty big mistake to think someone who i described as being good would think this way. When good players 3bet from the blinds its not to "defend their blind". were not playing limit here.
