Hmm UTG check/minraising the flop seems like he has a huge hand. Shoving the turn isn't terrible but I'd rather just call since we're in position and are getting ridiculously good odds and if they are loose they are probably going to call our turn shove lightly.

Yeah, im not sure why you shoved the turn? I know you have a combo draw, but i believe you have very little, if any, Fold Equity. I think if your going to put in some sort of big raise, the flop is the place to do it. Im genuinely interested, could you maybe explain your thinking of shoving the turn for me?
Yeah, i like this quote from WildBobAA "I'd rather just call since we're in position and are getting ridiculously good odds and if they are loose they are probably going to call our turn shove lightly."
So ya, you have a great draw with amazing odds against loosey gooseys who are likely to call your shove, so just call and hope to hit and get paid off.

i just moved up...so i'm probably giving people more respect then usual...ie...i'm expecting that they can fold.
the min-raise on the flop and the small bet on the turn was like ringing "i'm so weak" to me....so i figured i might be able to get a fold out of them if i pushed. against a straight or set i'm not THAT behind, so i think it was OK.
looking at it again, calling is probably much better, and i just wasn't playing my normal game here...

I like just calling the initial flop bet though b/c we want people behind us to call.

I see, yeah i think everything is fine except for the turn raise allin. Just call. Plus if your lucky enough to get one of the other two on a diamond draw and a diamond rivers, you'll stack at least one donk.

im going to assume full stacks.
i just dont think you have much folding equity here. and they are keeping the bets really small so that you can draw cheaply and win a big pot if you hit.

yeah, i think it's pretty clear calling is the much better play here.
anywho, for some reason i felt GAMB0000000000LING, and i lost of course. i ran into Kd9c for the nut straight, and 8d9d for the bitch end of the straight, which means 3 of my outs weren't good

Unfortunately K9 is not the nut straight. Fortunately I don't think you'll find AK in an unraised pot.
As already stated, I don't like the turn raise. I call and hope to hit a diamond. C/F any missed cards.
Iowa already mentioned what I thought earlier reading the title of the thread: Why semi-bluff loose players when you can stack them after hitting your hand?
