Hey everyone, this is my strategy:
Live:
I usually stick to a pattern regardless of my cards, of course if I get AK, or some large pocket pair Im going to play differently which will throw enough variation in. For example, I may play in three patterns intermittent:
1st. Good hand: raise 3x BB preflop. and play fairly aggressive
2nd. Bad hand: raise minimum. if u get raised back away, if not try and strike something and play the opponent.
3rd. If Im on a rush, i will once in a while simply try and outplay the other player regardless of what I am holding.
Obviously these are just templates I may use and I go with feel a lot and that changes my play. Also if I know the player I play to their behavior.
Online:
Betting patterns, betting patterns, betting patterns.
Two things: dont make yours obvious, and figure out theirs.
The first 5 hands I try and figure out what type of player I am facing. And what their "limit" seems to be. If in a starting with 1500 chips the man is betting out 100-200 consistently, hes bs-ing. if hes varying it then its probably similar to his hand. so you can understand where he values a good hand.
Based on this info, you can represent your cards strongly in his terms not yours and you are then playing the player not the cards. The cards will play as they do, but the person will not.
Figure out his values, and exploit them.
Thats what I do, it works for me. but then again, its a lot about feel.

yeah I've seen people do the minraise with bad cards strategy
I start to insta3b them ATC and proceed cautiously vs. a 3x raise

Its good that you understand the value of getting more information than you give away. This is one of the 4 basics of poker (according to me).
The strategy is very exploitable though and is not dynamic enough for me to go hurrah! If villain is catching on that you minraise with bad cards you must make some changes.
If you are playing your opponent instead of your cards you need very good skills at estimating fold equity and hopefully you will master it.
Good Luck

Me i feel that i am able to play my best game of heads up live because you are able to read your opponent alot easier than online as for any tournament not just heads up.. But heads up i believe it is ALOT easier to beat your opponent with good play live rather than online. Strategy for HU is pretty aggressive and you got to see a ton of flops if you want to be successful at play HU

To start with, I will try and give my opponent the illusion that I am playing very tight, by folding the small blind alot, or folding to raises. After a dozen or so hands, I open up and bluff and reraise more. The trick is to keep them guessing.

What casinos offer live HUplay? I live out in CA and have never seen one out here that features this.
